23.01.2022 You may be wondering... ARE WE OPEN? Yes our workshop is currently open, 9.30am-5.30pm weekdays. We will be closed on Saturdays for the time being, Sundays closed as usual.... WHAT IS THE BEST WAY TO GET A DEVICE REPAIRED? You are welcome to post in, however we recommend you check out Sendle.com.au which is another good option during this time. Weve been using them for more then a year & we highly recommend their service within the metro area. They can pick up from your door & take to our door, at a very competitive price. You are welcome to drop off at our workshop in Moorebank, Sydney, It is a drop off & pick up kind of counter only, no waiting room. WHAT MEASURES ARE WE TAKING TO COMBAT COVID-19? We have implemented practices in our daily operations in light of the current environment. These include Wipe down of surfaces for all devices that we receive & despatch Hand sanitiser or hand washing for our staff between each customer interaction, & between each job Regular sanitising of our doorbell, door handles & front counter From Monday 23rd March, we have implemented additional measures to keep in line with social distancing rules & community health measures. ONE CUSTOMER AT RECEPTION AT ANY ONE TIME. If you arrive & another customer is already present, we ask that you wait patiently outside until they leave Front doors will be left open to minimise need for touching of common surfaces such as door handles. We will continue to regularly sanitise the doorbell, doorhandles & front counter regardless Added table at reception area to assist with distancing & cleaning Card payments preferred We ask any customers experiencing cold & flu symptoms to refrain from entering the premise WHAT IS THE TURNAROUND TIME? It will depend on the device & the job required. For the moment we will do our best to prioritise tablet, laptop & phone repairs to accommodate for the transition to work & study from home. If your job requires a part not normally stocked (which needs to be ordered in), this will add some time to the overall job turnaround. You will be advised once we examine your device. We are still repairing gaming consoles (of course!). Please feel free to email us or message us with your device model & problem being experienced, & we will get back to you with the relevant info. We endeavour to respond to all enquiries within a 24 hour period.

23.01.2022 "Be patient, and tough, someday this pain will be useful to you" Ovid The last few weeks have been an extra busy time for us (we are grateful for this busyness, because the alternative is not so great). With many people working from home, learning at home, in isolation, we have experienced an influx of devices coming in. The current turnaround time is 2-5 business days for most jobs once received. Obviously this will vary depending on the type of job & complexity, parts requi...red & availability, number of technicians in on any given day (we too have to par-take in social distancing & staff who are ill & not to come in). For a large business or corporation, when one or two are home ill, no worries. When one or two are ill in a small business, this affects the whole business operation. There is also the issue of parts availability, which has been creeping up since January when China started shutting down. Items sourced locally also have delayed logistics & price increases & shortages. We ask for patience during this time. We ask for kindness. Show respect & kindness to people trying to repair your devices, & they will look after you. Repairing is not always black & white, its not always as simple as looking at it & knowing what is wrong with it. Sometimes there are complex jobs that require hours of investigation before we get to a verdict. We ask for patience. Especially from those sending in consoles. Yes it feels like a loooong time without your console, however in perspective of everything happening in the world, they are small pains. Please dont ask us to guarantee a particular turnaround time, without even looked at the device or even having possession of it. We will provide a current general turnaround time & go from there once received & examined. Lastly be patient & kind to all the posties & delivery drivers. Their delivery schedules have ramped up...they are doing extra deliveries, they are working the extra Saturdays. We are also doing longer hours to meet demands. A little appreciation goes a long way. 09.01.2022 We are OPEN! We all have a part to play in keeping our community safe as a whole during this time. Over the last week, we been taking additional precautions which included - Wipe down of surfaces for all devices that we receive & despatch - UV lamp exposure for devices that are unable to be wiped down with IPA - Hand sanitiser or hand washing for our staff between each customer interaction, & between each job... - Regular sanitising of our doorbell, door handles & front counter The time has come where we need to transition our operations to be in line with the current environment. We will have more information on this as the day progresses in terms of drop off at our workshop. For anyone wishing to post anything to us, we highly recommend Sendle.com.au who are able to pick up from you & deliver directly to us. We have been using Sendle for the last 12 months & have found their service very easy, reliable & cost effective within metropolitan areas.

08.01.2022 This is what a HDMI Retimer Chip for an XBox One X (and similarly the S) looks like... Stock for on these have replenished today...we had a few customers waiting on these...their jobs were prioritised today & all are completed & are awaiting despatch/pick up. To install these babies, we dismantle down to the motherboard, de-solder the old one off & re-solder the new on...under microscope. Got no display/image, experiencing artefacts or only displays on low resolution...you might need the one in your Xbox One X (and S) replaced. Feel free to contact us

07.01.2022 Saved our dear customer some money...$145 for genuine battery replacement, supplied & installed with 6 months warranty, as opposed to $170 (part supply) + $170 (call out fee & labour) = $340 with 3 months warranty from Dell. Customer was able to continue using laptop & brought in for installation when part arrived. Prices depend on model.

06.01.2022 Beetronix are committed to the health & safety of our staff, their families, extended families, delivery drivers & the wider community. Due to the current environment & updated Government guidelines, from Monday 30th March, our reception door will be closed to visitors. We do apologise wholeheartedly to all our regular & new customers. We are still working to repair your devices. Our reason for this decision is due to - Urgent need for community distancing - Potential for the... virus to survive for an extended period of time on plastic & glass surfaces, which we come into contact with during the course of repairs - Devices we repair such as mobile phones, tablets & laptops are often in very close proximity to user face & hands, which can be carriers for the virus - Wanting to put additional time between user & repairer handling to minimise risk - Wanting to contribute to stopping the community spread We understand that some of you have urgent needs (either for working from home or home learning) & we completely empathise with you. We just need to all do our best to ensure a safer community. Ways to get your device to us 1. Sendle in (this is a courier service that can pick up from you & drop off to us- in Sydney metro they utilise Couriers Please & elsewhere they use Couriers Please/Fastway). We have been using this service for over a year & do recommend it over the Post. Parcels are tracked & insured & you can opt for contactless if you have a safe place to leave for pick up. For more info go to sendle.com.au 2. Post to us. Visit our page http://www.beetronix.com.au/mob/postal-repair-services.html How we will return a device to you We will Sendle or post back to you free of charge with a successful repair. How to make payment We can accept payment via card over the phone, EFT or Paypal. We thank you for your understanding during this unprecedented time of uncertainty. We are still working to see what the best & safest way to still service all our clients & customers during this time & we thank you for your understanding.
