21.01.2022 Spring is in the air, I can feel it in the earth as I walk barefoot and on my face as the warm wind kisses my cheek. I am happy to say my sewing machine has come out of hibernation too, and I am excited to be creating some new designs in preparation for my first ever fashion show next month as part of the Ukitopia celebrations! Stay tuned for more updates on the process and event!

17.01.2022 While I have been busy sewing over the past months I have been very quiet in advertising my art and what I have been up to. I have been witnessing the places in me that feel scared to be seen, that question my capability and vision. As the light returns to the Southern Hemisphere after winter solstice I feel drawn to share more, create more, and celebrate the discovery of expressing myself as an artist while I am learning the skills. I began sewing only 3 years ago, and I tru...ly fell in love with it. The beautiful Ali Bertin of Ancient Futures shared her self taught skills with me and I am forever grateful. I love making clothes for my family and learning an artistic yet practical craft. My oldest daughter Aurora had also taken to sewing and it is wonderful to see her unique designs and curiosity to learn. Thank you to all those who have encouraged and supported me along the way... here is a gorgeous hoodie I made for my little one Kiona from sewing offcuts. Greys work so well to hide the dirt, but a pop of pink satiates Kiona's need to be "girly" as she so eloquently puts it! Still working on the pattern but looking to make quite a few in time for the winter markets coming up in Byron Shire... made with love for those you love! See more
