17.01.2022 Through the years various community organisations and businesses have provided outstanding support for the squad and their ongoing support has played a massive role in making the squad what it is today. This support is greatly appreciated, however there may be businesses throughout the district that wish to support the squad but have not known how to do so. Therefore, the Bega District Rescue Squad is promoting our Business Sponsorship scheme which gives local businesses... the opportunity to support their local Rescue Squad. For less then $2 per week (tax deductible) you can become a Business Sponsor and have the satisfaction of knowing that you are helping to save lives. You will also receive exposure on our various platforms of social media. A certificate will also be supplied each year that can be displayed at your place of business to highlight your support of the squad. To allow for flexibility among businesses there are several options available as outlined below. Sponsorship levels Bronze - $25 per quarter Silver - $50 per quarter Gold - $100 per quarter. Various payment methods are available including (EFT) electronic funds transfer or cheque. Various payment frequencies are also available, quarterly / half yearly / yearly. Your business card is used for the quarterly sponsorship advertisement as per display sheet. There is no contractual time period, you are free to change any of your details or withdraw from the scheme anytime. We ask that you take some time to consider whether your business wishes to support the squad, and if so, please contact us and we will organise to have one of our volunteers contact you if you have further questions, or would like to get the appropriate procedures underway to become a sponsor. The squad can be contacted on via [email protected]. Or message through social media.

11.01.2022 Each year we lend a hand to the Bega Lions Club to install some Christmas cheer to the Main Street of Bega. This year members of our squad were more than happy to add a little bit of Merry and cheer in what has been a very tough year for the Bega Valley. We hope it brings a smile to everyone when they see the awnings adorned with Santa’s, Reindeer’s and Christmas Trees tomorrow ... #vrarescue #somethingtosmileabout

10.01.2022 12 months on and we mark the anniversary of the bushfires that changed the Bega Valley. The members of the Bega Rescue Squad worked tirelessly as volunteers from the early hours of this day right through to the beginning of February. Although a heartbreaking and tragic time, it brought this squad together as a professional and outstanding team, and built stronger relationships with our emergency service colleagues.... 2020 will be a year to remember that’s for sure. Thank you to our community for continuing to support us. We wish you a safe New Year #vrarescue

08.01.2022 We all saw the devastation that the fires caused throughout NSW over the 2019-2020 period. Our friends at the NSW Rural Fire Service did an amazing job to save ...countless lives and property. The NSW Premier has acknowledged the massive effort of all involved with a Bushfire Emergency Citation. Proudly members of the NSW Volunteer Rescue Association from across the state put up their hands and helped out wherever possible. These members will also be proudly receiving the Citation. Every single person involved, Volunteer or paid, does not do it for the accolades, however it does make it that little bit more special when their efforts are acknowledged. Thanks you Gladys Berejiklian, NSW Rural Fire Service and all those involved with this wonderful Citation. https://nsw.liberal.org.au/BUSHFIRE-RESPONDERS-AWARDED-FOR-
