22.01.2022 Year 8 Student Sam Lever has been selected in the ACT Kings Cricket team. This team was made of talented players from the ACT, Southern Tablelands and South Coast. Sam has also been selected in an U’16s South East and Southern Tablelands Representative Cricket Team and over the weekend he will trial for a position in the U16s ACT team. What an awesome effort Sam, all the best for the Cricket season.

20.01.2022 Luella and Max call on the student body to wear bright coloured socks and bring a gold coin donation tomorrow to Sock it to strength. When asked why the cause was important to her Luella stated, It increases awareness of Mental health issues, which makes people feel OK about talking about their Mental health, allowing us to be supportive and to take preventive action.

10.01.2022 Year 10 Student Darby Hayes has earnt a spot in the All Australian U’18s Girls AFL team which would have seen Darby travelling overseas and completing against other Countries. COVID unfortunately has put this one hold for now. In the meantime, Darby is travelling to Canberra on a weekly basis to train in the South East Sport Academy for AFL. Congratulations Darby on your success and let’s hope you get the opportunity to show your skills abroad in the very near future.

09.01.2022 Narooma High Support students and NSW School Sport Unit hosted a Boccia skills day today. Bega High, Ulladulla High and Wolumla Public attended. It was a fun experience and students and staff are looking forward to experiencing similar events next year. Bring on 2021!

05.01.2022 Year 10 Bega High School student Eliza-Jane Norris has been selected for the second consecutive year into Canberra United Soccer Senior Squad. Eliza-Jane has also been selected in the National Futsal squad representing ACT which compete in January 2021 in Sydney. We wish Eliza-Jane all the very best in her sporting endeavours.

04.01.2022 Today we had a visit from some crew members of the HMAS Supply. All students had the chance to gain some insight into daily life in the Navy and were able to interact with the crew and ask questions during our year meeting assemblies today. T Gibbons.

01.01.2022 The residents of Hillgrove House were treated last week to a special virtual musical performance by some of Bega High Schools musically gifted students. Unfortunately due to Covid-19 restrictions this performance could not be performed live or in collaboration with the residents this year, however the performers and residents enjoyed themselves regardless.
