18.01.2022 TAKE A WALK THROUGH BEGA'S HISTORY The 9.30am walk is already booked out for our 1 hour guided walking tour of Carp Street in Bega with the South Coast History Society this Saturday, 23 October. So get in quick to book for the 1.15pm walk. Tea and coffee will be provided after. BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL - phone 0448 160 852. You'll discover some of the 'treasures' of the town and learn how the town has changed over the past 150-or-so years. We're asking for a $10 donation to assist the work of Australian Rotary Health. It would be great if participants could wear a hat, period-style if possible, to highlight Hat Day - and Lift the Lid on Mental Illness.

13.01.2022 GUEST SPEAKER ON CITIZEN SCIENCE October is Citizen Science month and Jenn Loder, from the Australian Citizen Science Association, will be the Guest Speaker on a Zoom meeting of ESRAG (Environmental Sustainability Rotary Action Group) on Tuesday 19 October at 7.30pm. Jenn is Director of Community Partnerships at the Great Barrier Reef Foundation. She has a Masters of Environmental Science from Florida International University, a Bachelor of Applied Science, Biology, from Jame...s Madison University, Virginia and a Grad. Dip. in Marine Science from James Cook University. She will speak about her experiences with Citizen Science and how everyone can be involved. As a member of the Management Committee of the Australian Citizen Science Association she is passionate about advancing citizen science thorough sharing of knowledge, collaboration, capacity building and advocacy. Please share in this inspirational presentation aimed at helping you, your club and districts to play a part in environment and sustainability in 2021.
