23.01.2022 Our Kindy students yesterday were keen to share their learning in the afternoon with our principal. We had a discussion which led to students trying some pumpkin seeds. They even showed they understood how to read signs in our office showing Mrs G where the hospital (first aid) supplies were located if someone got hurt. Evie and Ruben were quick to point out that only adults are allowed into the cupboard because the sign says stop to kids (authorised personnel only).

Today Evie is working to come up with ideas to protect Humpty Dumpty.... we cannot wait to see what she comes up with. Good job Evie!

12.01.2022 Our school has undergone some minor works within the classroom to make our learning spaces more flexible. This morning students came in to a new wet area in our larger classroom which was exciting and a big change for a normal weekend thanks to the efforts of our staff. Here are some photos from the action.

09.01.2022 This morning Prep to Year 2 students had some fun videoing bad examples (non-examples) of how to present to an audience. The boys found it hilarious when Mrs G took her turn. We learnt about: -standing up straight and still facing the audience -using appropriate tone, pitch volume and pace when speaking -using appropriate gestures to match the story... - and remembering to have good eye contact with the audience We are pleased to share some of our videos with our community (some people chose not to share their video as they were feeling shy today) See more

This morning we started with the lower school learning how to use powerpoint, then we moved after lunch into maths lessons, where we had students trying trick the teacher, students peer tutoring and then sharing their learning with other grades. We finished this afternoon with some active skipping activities that helped us to remember our times-tables and skip counting.

09.01.2022 This week Evie has been coming up with a plan to save Humpty Dumpty when he falls off his wall. Watch the video to see Evie explaining her plan... Her test will be the next post in 2 minutes

09.01.2022 Today Years 4-6 were hard at work identifying if information will support their point of view for their multimodal feature article in English. They use a collaborative approach to discuss points made but agreed that some facts provided may be used in different ways to support arguments. Keep working hard students.

08.01.2022 Lately our older students have worked hard to demonstrate their knowledge of fractions, number and drama (yes I said drama, just to keep everyone on their toes). Here are a couple of examples with the proud upper school learners who consistently work hard in our classrooms.

07.01.2022 Congratulations to our winners this week. It has been great to see everyone consistently working hard this term.

06.01.2022 Great job to all our parents who have successfully completed their first day supporting our students in learning at home. 04.01.2022 The last two days we have been busy demonstrating our learning in many different ways. Students enjoy some sustained silent reading after completing their maths assessments.

03.01.2022 The Years 4 and 6 boys thought that Mrs G did a terrible job with her presentation. She didn't stand still, didn't face the audience, used inappropriate pitch and inappropriate gestures. This was all very distracting and a great non-example. Next week we will continue working to improve our oral presentation skills in class.

02.01.2022 Today our lower school worked to identify sentences with nouns and verbs from a traditional story we have been reading. This is a photo of LJ’s fantastic writing this morning. Well done LJ!
