20.01.2022 Lakers Shed Car ABL 14 BR’s Tasmanian compartment carriage undergoes a little make over. Scott Tribe is stripping the white paint in each compartment & restoring a lacquered timber finish (suspect the timber is mainly Tasmania Blackwood) the new finish just pops!

14.01.2022 The Bellarine Railway would like to thank everyone once again for all the support during the COVID-19 Pandemic! Whilst everyone is away from the railway, here's a time-lapse one of our CCTV Cameras captured on Monday! Hail, Rain, Sunshine, hopefully this brightens everyone's day! - Matt

12.01.2022 Lakers Shed BR T Class Work continues on BR’s beloved T Class loco, Wayne Pickett and his team have recently managed to remove the cylinders, upon inspection they found an excessive buildup of carbonised oil deposits that no doubt affected and restricted the locos performance. ... Further the bobbin valves have been removed for clean up and the front bogie truck has been reinstalled under the chassis. Finally the brake rigging has also been overhauled. Great work by the Lakers Team

05.01.2022 The first Train to operate all the way to Drysdale station since late March. Whilst it was just a works train, it was great to see the return of trains to drysdale. Regular train services returning soon. The Operations Team are fine-tuning our Covid Safe Plan and setting up the railway for social distancing to ensure passenger safety during visits. Please stay tuned and we will keep you posted on when bookings open and what will be happening. http://bellarinerailway.com.au/...subscribetonewsletter-2/ #steamtrainride #reopening #visitqueenscliffpointlonsdale #visitgeelongbellarine #holidayherethisyear

05.01.2022 10 years ago the Bellarine Railway celebrated the official opening of our rollingstock shed

04.01.2022 An extremely busy weekend behind the scene at the railway this week. A massive thanks to our volunteers who made the effort to come out and put in the hours this weekend especially from the Youth Social group. Was excellent to hold our first working bee together.

04.01.2022 History in heritage. Early days in the late 70s early 80s line clearing relied on poisoning programs and burnoffs. I remember being involved with setting this tank up on an old wagon with a pump used for poisoning and fire control.

01.01.2022 While most of us cant get down to the railway some of our members have taken their work home with them. Here we see some of the fantastic work by our volunteer Graeme. He has painstakingly stripped these damaged seats down to the frames and reupholstered them back to better then new.
