10.01.2022 From Rabbi Caplan A note regarding attendance via ZOOM: the majority of scholars maintain that a voice that has been converted to electronic signals and then back again isnt the same voice, so it doesnt count as hearing a megillah. No bracha should be said. However, if because of medical reasons a ZOOM megillah is all people can attend, there are those who say it is acceptable as a worst case scenario.
