25.01.2022 We were called out on Wednesday to a permit burn that had jumped a firebreak into some bush. A very timely reminder of how a simple burn can quickly become something more, as we approach the time of year when unrestricted burning commences keep in mind how badly it could go wrong and prepare your property and equipment well before lighting anything. Well done to all the shire brigades and farm units who turned out and got this fire controlled safely and without too much damage. Stay safe and have a great Easter!
24.01.2022 Truer words have never been said!
23.01.2022 A situation you hope never to be in, but train for regularly. Very thankful that these firefighters walked away.
21.01.2022 Off to Kalgoorlie Tuesday, trying to help out with the fires there. The rest of the brigade will be here to assist. Let’s see if I can bring the Julimar 2.4 back safe and sound. Can’t think of a better thing to do at Christmas than try to help others. Merry Christmas to all from Bejoording brigade, have a safe holiday and be good to each other. Brian Bejoording Captain
20.01.2022 Remember to come and meet the Councillors and have a chat at the fire shed. Wednesday 4th September!
20.01.2022 Some lowlife vandalised the illuminated information sign as you enter Bejoording between 2:30 and 3:30 this morning, they stole the batteries and a hydraulic pump from the sign and did significant damage to the trailer. Hopefully the shire can get a replacement to advertise the upcoming community fire information night. Anyone with any information please contact Toodyay police.
19.01.2022 Fire Brigade street meet at the community shed 11th October at 6 pm. Come and meet the brigade, get some information on bushfire preparation or ask any questions you may have. There will also be food!
17.01.2022 Amazing response to the fire west of toodyay, 4th crew on the ground now helping with mopping up. This result could not have been achieved without the support of our members and the incredible number of volunteer crews from many surrounding shires who came to help. Very hectic night that was made successful by so many. A big thank you to those managing this who pulled together these resources and got them tasked quickly and effectively.
16.01.2022 GOLDFIELDS INFERNO Bushfires have been impacting the Goldfields in Norseman and Balledonia. The highway to Esperance was closed and re-opened several times over... the weekend, cutting off the town of Norseman in all directions, and leaving families and truck drivers stranded, just days out from Christmas. 14.01.2022 With thanks to Roleystone Fire Brigade from whom I have copy and pasted this. As you would be aware, the COVID-19 (coronavirus) is now amongst the wider commu...nity. It has been declared a global pandemic and the State of Western Australia has taken additional steps in the response. With the important role that the fire services and other first responders have within the community, the brigade has adopted recommendations and requirements from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services. As a result of the dynamic situation, all non-essential brigade activities have been suspended and includes all our community engagement activities as well as all non essential activities at the fire station. This is to ensure our ability to provide continuity of service. Rest assured that it’s business as usual for our brigades operational response to incidents as required. Please be mindful with your activities to not create any unnecessary fire risk. You must still have a permit for ANY fire in Toodyay shire

12.01.2022 Australia's apocalyptic bushfires can be seen from space as the following satellite images were captured from the SENTINEL-2 satellites which orbit the earth at an altitude of 786 km away have captured the harsh reality of their damage.

04.01.2022 | LOCAL FIRE RESPONSE CAPABILITY | Check out this footage of the Hill River Tatra 9.6 fire appliance mopping up after the recent Munbinea Road fire on Thursday.... This appliance was donated by APA Group to the Hill River Volunteer Bush Fire Brigade and can respond to fires with a sole operator. Its capacity has bolstered our local fire response capability and has impressed brigade captain Aubrey Panizza who has taken the appliance to a number of events already this summer.
04.01.2022 Reminder. Permit burn on eighth road Bejoording tomorrow morning. Bejoording and Coondle brigades are conducting a hazard reduction burn and training for new members. As it is right on top of the hill with a high fuel load there will probably be considerable smoke that will be seen from some distance. Lighting up around 8 am
