21.01.2022 The highly anticipated Willoughby Park playground opened in July and in the first few days hundreds of children flocked to try out the new equipment. Costing ar...ound $500,000, the upgraded playground includes three slides, an elevated tower with rope bridge, in-ground trampolines, basket swing and marble run. Designed to improve access for children of all ages and abilities, it features a tunnel running under a mound with a wide slippery slide and a climbing net and carousel for older children. Theres also a fully fenced area alongside picnic tables and barbeques. The area has been freshly landscaped. Its set under beautiful gum trees alongside Willoughby Park Centre and the oval. It was the largest playground overhaul for Willoughby City Council last financial year. See more

Good news - the Community Recycling Centre (CRC) in Artarmon is open 8:00am - 4:00pm on both Saturd...ay and Sunday with a COVID-safe plan in action. To make sure staff and visitors stay safe, the following measures are in place: All CRC customers are to remain in their vehicles until directed to enter the drop-off area by a staff member. Only enter when the boom gate is lifted for your car by a staff member. Please drive in slowly as cars may be queued in the driveway. All CRC customers are required to self-unload their items without any assistance from staff. Customers should bring someone along to assist if required. All CRC customers must maintain physical distancing when unloading and depositing items in the respective cages. 03.01.2022 Today we read Dunbi the Owl by Pamela Lofts as part of our Acknowledgement to country, and with it's pages full of colours, we realised it interconnects with us focusing on rainbows! So we created an extension of learning through a playdough station with our rainbow playdough from yesterday. Photos of colourful birds were incorporated with lots of loose parts. We have also continued learning to sign the rainbow song, heavily focusing on the actions for the colours.
