03.01.2022 We’re sorry to say that Floriade and Nightfest will not proceed in Commonwealth Park in 2021 due to ongoing COVID-19 outbreaks both in the ACT and in surroundin...g NSW. Canberrans will still be able to enjoy bursts of spring colour throughout the city and suburbs, with over 400 planter boxes and pots which were destined for Commonwealth Park to be redistributed throughout the community. The boxes and pots, containing over 60,000 blooms, will brighten the city and supplement the 300,000 bulbs and annuals already planted by schools, community groups and organisations as part of Floriade Community. There will be bulbs in bloom in Commonwealth Park through spring, but the Government is discouraging large scale gatherings at this time. We will keep you posted if there are any opportunities to safely visit the park later in spring. Please stay tuned for further updates. Jo Bakas
