23.01.2022 The new Moon in Aries Friday evening has an easy blend of focus and strength that boosts confidence and cuts through self doubt. Aries loves doing and the Mo...on loves being and for the next few weeks there will a comfort and balance between the two. You might find you are able bounce back from upsets or frustrations and shrug off criticism without letting it derail your path. In a striking symbol of the get out your own way and all will be well message, there are no planets challenging this new Moon. 19.01.2022 Before dawn on Sunday AEST, the Sun and Moon come together in Libra, the zodiac sign known for being sociable, balanced and fair. She is also a diplomat, a fli...rt and an earnest seeker of justice and equality. Venus and Mercury, also in Libra, are nearby, making this a planetary picnic that closely mirrors last months new Moon in Virgo. Same as then, in all the loveliness, there is a gatecrasher to the pleasantries in the form of planetary heavyweight, Uranus. Last month Uranus arrived as an awakening, a blinding piece of truth that shook up the party. With this new Moon, the Uranus influence is more like humming tension, bringing connections and disconnection, attraction and chain reaction. Something cant be held back and the impulse is electric. 17.01.2022 The skies are clear, the planets are co-operating and the Full Moon in Virgo early Wednesday morning is so close to the earth its a Supermoon, giving plenty of... time to bask in moonbeams all Tuesday night. Virgo is a sign that can bring order to chaos, provide the detail, see the patterns, and does all this with a desire to serve, heal, and work for it. When the Moon is full in her sign, its one of the best nights of the year for setting magic intention, sending prayers, absent healing or doing a ritual because the energy is clear and receptive, and Virgo wants to bring you home with a purity and mindfulness that is almost visceral. She is a practical earth sign but mutable (changeable), and so sensitive to the signals in the atmosphere - and the atmosphere this time around is good with lots of earth / water influence to give stability and nourishment to your emotional connections, health concerns and daily routine. 13.01.2022 Poking the bearThe first full Moon after the Equinox always falls in Libra. It sets the timing for religious festivals like Good Friday Passover and Ramanavam...i and asks that we put time aside to consider peace, sacrifice and charity... to spare a thought and a prayer for others. Tomorrow night the full Moon is full and she wants balance. She wants civility and fairness. She encourages justice and cooperation. The Sun is in her opposite sign Aries - the God of War, who thrives on conflict and competition. It wants pay-back. We are engaged in a game of tempering passion with reason. The polarity between the Moon and Sun play out the dance of war and peace, conflict and harmony, of how we seek justice and resolution. However, in a powerful position to flip the tables, Uranus is weighing in heavily on the conversation and there is a capacity for eruptions, upheaval and exile wherever injustice has built up. Venus and Jupiter are increasing the pressure by blocking the energy, clashing beliefs and ideologies and turning back on promises. Hopes and dreams feel under attack. This full Moon will weigh individual, self-serving needs against those of the collective and the shift towards equilibrium can demand a take-no-prisoners offensive and significant sacrifice if you are stuck in a Me Me paradigm. Earlier this week, Notre Dame, described as the embodiment of France itself was catastrophically consumed by fire. The shock and grief is visceral. One witness said "For me, it's much more than stones, it's a part of myself that is burning,". The old is making way for the new with the fire literally and metaphorically tearing through the structure of the Catholic Church, leaving its foundations exposed and compromised, its opulence and stability reduced to ash. This just the sort of thing Uranus would do to highlight inequality and the need for a new perspective, a new way to express faith and surety. Pluto and Saturn are still clustered around the axis of past karma simultaneously digging their heels into the foundations of tradition, and exposing the corruption inherent in those structures. Its breaking down and the polarity is almost unbearable, but one side cannot crush the other. Weve gone beyond the old ways of holding power and its time to look forward and relate. Its an exciting time, but for now, Libra is letting her scales swing in the aftershocks knowing the path to truth and justice is never one sided. 10.01.2022 Cancer New Moon Eclipse Wednesday, before dawn in the darkest part of the night, the Sun and Moon will line up in Cancer and eclipse. Only a few Pacific is...lands and part of South America will see the twilight minutes when the Moon blots out the Sun, but the dynamic exchange has already been sending reverberations around the planet and will continue to do so for the next six months. For better or worse, the Moon in Cancer pulls you home - to places that are familiar physically, emotionally and psychically. It is the ever-flowing love of the Mother and the safety of her nest. Cancer invokes a sense of belonging and is protective of its tribe and family. But something has been out of balance or ruptured and the eclipse is shifting the furniture and forcing you to address the issue. It could involve a painful rejection, displacement or childhood trauma, something deeply entrenched and hard to shake. This is a solar eclipse and it can change the landscape of the stories youve been clinging to, so expect new information to come forward, a lucky break or a change in perspective giving you the impetus needed to adjust to new conditions. Saturn is positioned like a bulls eye opposite in Capricorn (with the South Node and Pluto) supporting justice, accountability and ultimately, the last word. Its a push to clear some collective baggage and return to the Source, the Feminine. Eclipses alter the power structure and this one (and its sister in two weeks) are digging through themes of politics, law, ethics, corporations, finances, mothers, children and family. Borders. Immigration. Land rights. Adding to the de-construction, four of the five outer planets are retrograde, peeling back the skin, chewing over details and filtering it back through the collective drip by drip. Astrologically, thats quite a statement and a point of no return. It wont happen till the end of the month but it feels like a date with destiny. Again... not much wiggle room. You may hear the sound of the last nail in the coffin and a huge weight lifted from your shoulders, or you may be the one with your back to the wall. Secrets wont survive well this month but something seeded now will help you reach a deeper connection to home and your internal mother, nurturer and protector - the wise one within. The eclipse is resetting the compass. Invest in safety for yourself and refuse to let negativity affect you. Protect what you love with love. Its empowering. (Incidentally, Australia is a Capricorn country. America is ruled by Cancer. Both will be influenced by the energies of the July eclipses till 2020. 10.01.2022 Taurus full moon Just after midnight on Wednesday, the Full Moon in Taurus joins with the asteroid Vesta - the Goddess of the sacred flame. This is a beautifu...l combination - its very cleansing, gentle and nourishing. After the last few months of eruptive Uranus energy, Taurus Moon and Vesta together create a safe home, being present, healthy boundaries, tantra, being in your body. In Astrospeak, this literally translates as sacred earth, or the body is a temple - its a space to give yourself love and self care, tenderness and devotion. If you were thinking of a healthier lifestyle, this is the time to launch... it will feel right, and flow easily. Love and protection for the Earth is also highlighted now - and the need for a collective effort. The Moon is opposite the Sun and Mercury (retrograde)in Scorpio so conversations, connections and thought processes can go deep - the big stuff, the dark stuff, the Ive never told anyone this before... stuff. Sometimes the Sun can be very exposing and judging, but this Moon strips everything back to its essential nature....which is Love, Trust, Gratitude, Worthiness - the same as everyone else. Overall, this Moon is really supportive and connected peacefully with most planets, as they are with each other. Theres an element of seeking and questing, trusting and opening up, of accepting a simple truth without much complication - and finding the inner reserve and perseverance to undertake the next step. Theres a thing with Taurus. Its a slow moving creature (a bull) that builds up momentum once its started. It doesnt like to be hurried, and it doesnt like to miss a step. It is sensual, patient and kind. The big gift of this full Moon is a whole-planet experience of self love and self belief and it would such a shame to skip over this bit. 09.01.2022 The full Moon in Aquarius on Thursday brings a sting of clarity about your connections, what you value, and the company you keep. Conversations may have stalle...d or turned sideways in the last month but now a spotlight is aimed at the wheelings and dealings that gathered in the dark. Even with missing pieces, the sifted fragments come together with enough detail to see a holographic whole. The full Moon may bring a breakthrough, but not all wishes can be granted just yet. There is work being done behind the scenes to direct your course, and Neptune is engaged with the North node bring a vision and new possibilities into sight. If you are looking in the right direction, you will get synchronicity leading you forward and a download of information when you need it. Aquarius is a sign of the intellect and the spark of consciousness that runs through us all as a single entity. It loves freedom but equality, wholeness but independence. When the Moon is in Aquarius, it can send that spark like ripples through the matrix: Wake Up. The Hong Kong protests are an example of the group mind working with Aquarian voltage. With no leaders, tech savvy 20-somethings have joined with veterans of the Hong Kong democracy movement to protest in flash mobs that spread out across the city, drawing thousands out to the streets. The danger here is that Aqua Moons can distort thought processes and close off emotionally if it is trapped. It can let cold rationale justify cruelty. 09.01.2022 Pisces New Moon The new Moon just after 3am tonight is coddled in a dreamy imaginative Pisces mist - full of potential, hope and intuitive vision. Its an au...spicious time to surrender to the call of your spirit, to reach for a higher path, to mend and restore broken connections and mostly - more than anything - start allowing the pieces to fall into place. The King of the Sea, Neptune (and ruling planet of Pisces )is with the new Moon, presiding majestically in his element: The oceans of the unconscious. The sea of possibility. The dreambeam supreme. Its telepathic and sparkly. Uranus has moved into earth sign Taurus where for seven years it will shake the foundations and bring a revolution to our notion of work, worth, possessions and money (at the very least). The sea of possibility rises from the rubble. Mars and Saturn, also in earth signs, are being tuned in and awesome - putting the steps in place, directing useful resources your way and giving you some focus and guidelines so you dont stray off course. Its like they are the safety flags on the beach so you dont end up in the rip... because the currents are strong. Mercury is retrograde pulling back the tide. 07.01.2022 Playing small will not cut it when its a Sagittarius full Moon (as it is early Monday evening) that sits in the center of our Milky Way in a place otherwise kn...own as The Galactic Centre of the universe. If youve been under a cloud of self imposed invisibility or your chutzpah has been MIA then the cosmos is here to prod your mojo into shape. The Sun is in chatty, complicated Gemini opposite the Sag Moon, where your faith and beliefs have been downgraded or challenged. Somewhere your growth has been stunted but your spirit isnt dead. Its time to pour resources into your soul and implement changes in the real world. Look up, but dig down. Sagittarius loves freedom but does best with discipline. 06.01.2022 The new Moon is in Taurus on Sunday... and it loves to be in Taurus. Its a feminine earth sign - dependable and loyal, that stabilises the impact of the Moons... emotional charge and brings out the best of Taurus planetary ruler, Venus. The moon can be relaxed and romantic here. Its warm, nurturing and playful. The only planetary interest the sun and moon have attracted in this phase is a sugar-sweet aspect to Neptune, presenting an opportunity to forgive, soften and thaw. It seems on some level weve gone back in our corners to lick the wounds and wait. Neptunes sole (and soul) link to the Moon allows a space to dream of what could be, firms your faith and lets you know support is on hand. 06.01.2022 For as long as I can remember I have felt a bit invisible.. Those who know me may be surprised to hear this because that is definitely NOT what it looks like o...n the outside. I began dancing professionally as a 16 year old and have spent over 25 years in front of large groups of people whether it was teaching a class full of students older than me as a teenager to strutting my stuff in front of live audiences or in front of a camera, all the while feeding what I thought was my deep seated need for attention. I only allowed myself to get this attention from my work and tended to shy away from what I called unwanted attention because even though I was desperately seeking it I had convinced myself that I didn't want it..or deserve it I knew nothing about my inner world - all I knew in those days was that I was miserable on the inside, constantly fighting inner battles and being pulled by opposing forces..If you asked me how I was feeling I would have first been shocked because no one around me in my family or culture really talked about these things, and then I would be totally confused as to what is actually going on inside me (I want to say my head but it was not just my head that was experiencing extreme levels of tension at the time) The first time I saw my movements mirrored back to me with an empathic reflection was a revelation that opened the flood gates of emotion, memories and unprocessed experiences that had been accumulating in my body for decades..I began to connect the dots between the sensations in my body, my breathing, my posture and my emotions and started feel to again..or rather I began to decode and understand the messages that my body was sending me and started to identify and actually feel my emotions..We all know that dance is a form of self expression but what I soon came to realise was that for me it was a lifeline to my inner world. By becoming aware of and reconnecting with sensations in the body as I moved, I could start to make sense of my inner landscape, I didnt have to live in a state of constant internal tension, pressure and confusion.. Thats when I slowly began to realise that the feeling of invisibility was coming from NOT SEEING MYSELF.from all those parts of myself that I had avoided, denied, rejected or neglected the needed ATTENTIONall those voices of long lost and unprocessed emotions, memories and experiences that were longing to be seen, heard, felt and experienced within me. So many of us have grown up in environments where it was not safe to feel and express all of who we are and we carry this fear into adulthood. Fear of Invisibility= Fear of not being seen/ heard/felt/understand And so we shut down our emotions and our inner world because its better to so feel this feeling of invisibility Like I do not exist If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around to hear it.does it even exist? This can show up as not wanting to stand out or be too loud or too emotional, making yourself small or the fear of putting yourself out there or being too outspoken. This may also look like an empath who is always looking after the needs of others- because its safer/ easier to feel what other people are feeling, its easier to hold space for others than ourselves, its more comfortable to focus on the inner world of someone else than our own and our own needs. We tend to be the helpers and wounded healers, always caring for and looking after the needs of others. This is can be a beautiful thing..except the ALWAYS part. Because in order to be of service we need to also be serving ourselves We need to redirect some of that compassion and empathy to ourselves. We need to take the time to attend to our own inner world, to develop self compassion and the ability to rest and reflect on our own inner experience.
