11.01.2022 Remembrance Day In a year when it's often been hard to look beyond the difficulties of the present, it's good to remember. When we remember, we give thanks.... On 11th November 1918, at 11am, the guns on the Western Front across France and Belgium fell silent. Armistice. Peace. Today marks World War One coming to an end and it is a day that Australia and many nations stop to honour the fallen in both that War and those conflicts that have followed. We have a lot to remember. The sacrifice and heroism; the loss and destruction. Those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country. We have faced a different kind of catastrophe this year, but perhaps it will help us appreciate those who have passed through days of upheaval and uncertainty. So most of all, as we stop today to remember - let's be thankful. Thank God for peace. "When we have been made right in God's sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us." (Romans 5:1)

06.01.2022 Hooray for Mrs Meese! Finalist in 2020 Early Years Awards We’re excited to share that our very own Kirsty Meese (and our ELC team) are being recognised by the Department of Education and Training as being one of the best in the State. Kirsty has been named in the top four finalists for the 2020 Early Years Teacher of the Year.... Nominated for the passionate way she advocates for child-directed and play-based learning, for the way she gives back through the Early Childhood Educators in Christian Schools Network, and just for being so inclusive and understanding of each individual child and family in our ELC. Feel free to read Kirsty's profile and that of the other 3 worthy finalists at https://www.education.vic.gov.au//awa/Pages/veya-2020.aspx or search #VEYA2020. 02.01.2022 What happened at school today? Today we celebrated the final day of our Year 9 program with an "Amazing Race" around the school. Students enjoyed some exciting team oriented activities, before ending the day with a word scramble challenge. Students unscrambled a message of thanks and encouragement. This message was designed to congratulate them on their approach to the year and to reinstill the values of the school as they continue on their future pathways. ... What a fantastic way to end the year!
