23.01.2022 Dear valued clients and fur babies, We ask you to please bear with us while we navigate our way around the easing of Melbourne's Covid restrictions . Presently... we are still operating a kerbside service which hasn't changed since March and many of you would be familiar with. For now this still includes restricted access to the clinic for clients and we ask that you call us on 97542316 on arrival from the car park. We will have more to say soon about any changes to these Covid protocols as we want to ensure that are we keeping our clients, staff members and the community safe. We ask that you please follow the directions below to ensure the health and safety of our staff, other clients and our community. Face to face appointments will resume, with ONE person to attend appointments (in clinic) ONLY. MAXIMUM of 4 clients in the clinic at any one time. Please ensure you sign in upon entering the clinic for an appoi...ntment, for contact tracing purposes. 07.01.2022 In addition to our puppy socialisation classes, we are pleased to also offer private dog training sessions with Lorraine our KPA CTP-DELTA Cert Level IV Canine Behavioural Trainer. These sessions are $45 for 30 mins or $75 for 50 mins and are suitable for dogs of any age. Sessions will be held in our outdoor garden area, weather dependent. 05.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM : RIO As many of you may know, Rio has been a valued member of Belgrave South Vet Clinic for many years. He came to our clinic in 2004 after being found by our local wildlife carer, Carol. He was found at a park swearing and squawking at people! Carol noted that he was obviously someone's pet and after unsuccessful attempts to find his original owner, he came to live here in Belgrave South. He unfortunately cannot be released into the wild as he cannot fly and... is too domesticated. Rio loves music and dancing. Some of his favourite tunes are 'Twinkle Twinkle Little Star' and 'I'm Gonna Be' (500 miles song). He can also speak and loves to have a chat but we apologise these words can sometimes be rude! Rio will often come into the clinic to help out in reception and play with Dr Daniel. He loves cardboard boxes and always has a supply of seed, fresh fruit and water. Please feel free to come have a chat and sing with Rio but be aware he does bite through the cage! See more

04.01.2022 MEET NIBBLES - This cheeky little boy was admitted to our hospital as he had a 'nibble' on a Rhododendrum plant which is potentially very toxic to goats. 04.01.2022 COVID-19 Update for Melbourne Lockdown #3.0 Here we go again.... We are considered an essential service so therefore we will remain open for business as per normal hours and will continue our high level COVID health plan, COVID screening questions and in-clinic COVID protocols (including restricted access to clinic for clients) to keep our clients, staff and community safe. The following points have been confirmed by the DHHS: For veterinary care or collection of suppli...es from a veterinary clinic, clients MAY travel further than 5kms from their home. Government restrictions state that people are only allowed to leave their home for four reasons shopping for necessary goods (which includes animal needs), exercise, care and health care and work. ‘Taking your pet to the vet’ is listed under ‘health and care.’ In Metropolitan Melbourne, only one person per household should be obtaining veterinary services or products with the exception of accompanying dependants (children or at- risk persons). If your pet has an appointment at our clinic or you need to visit us to obtain essential veterinary products (which may include food, medications etc.) and you require confirmation to show to police to validate reasons for being outside a 5km radius from your home or , please let us know and we will be able to email you confirmation of your appointment. Masks must be worn at all times on clinic premises as by direction of the Vic government. We have done it before Melbourne, we can do it again !

03.01.2022 We are sooo excited to share that we are able to re-start our outdoor PUPPY SOCIALISATION CLASSES!!! Puppies between 8-18 weeks are welcome. Puppies learn very quickly at this age and socialisation is vital to ensure they learn to cope with situations they may encounter in day to day life. Classes are $30 and run for 40 minutes in our outdoor garden area. Classes will run on Wednesday afternoons at 4.30pm and Saturdays at 10am & 11am (subject to demand). ... Each class will have a maximum of 4 puppies and with only one owner present per puppy please Social distancing must be adhered to at all times. 01.01.2022 PUPPY INFO NIGHT'S ARE RESTARTING IN-CLINIC! Have you recently adopted a new puppy? Want to make sure you have all the information to get off on the right 'paw' in welcoming them into the household? Classes will cover toileting, biting, socialisation and everything else you need to know including Q & A time at the end. They will be held on Monday evening between 7-8pm and are $35 per class.
