Our 11 Graduating Students were given an end of year graduating gift of going on a Safari to the Tarangerie National Park where they enjoyed seeing their country's amazing wildlife and they were treated to a box lunch at the Safari Park. On the way home they visited the Snake Park and had a camel ride. We have been with these kids since they were 4 years old. They are now going to Public Secondary school. Two of the boys Dastani and Noel have been sponsore...d onto Private Secondary Boarding School. All passed with high grades. We congratulate these kids and wish them all the very best for a successful future. God bless each one of them. Thank you to their sponsors for giving them the opportunity to have an excellent start to their lives by providing 10 years of private Nursery and Primary education at a school that has a reputation of being one of the best schools in Arusha. It is owned and managed by a woman with a caring loving heart as big as Africa. Thank you God and thank you sponsors. % new children who are siblings of these graduating students have been sponsored. If anyone would like to sponsor a sibling of one of our graduating students please contact us. It is $50 a month for full sponsorship or $25 a month for half sponsorship. This provides School fees, school and sports uniform, breakfast and lunch and school resources and medical checks. They attend a private school and are taught English. It is a great start for their education. Education breaks the cycle of poverty. See more

16.01.2022 Hello Friends of BEE. I returned from Tanzania 3 weeks ago and little did I know how quickly things would escalate with the Corona Virus. I had 2 weeks isolation and was tested for the virus as my flight from Singapore to Adelaide had passengers onboard who tested positive. I thank God my test returned Negative. All BEE Fundraisers have been cancelled - BEE HAPPY CAFE . Our Mystery Meal Night. BEE Bunnings Sausage Sizzle. All our catering. And possibly our BEE Clayton Chr...istmas afternoon tea in June. We will keep you posted. Please keep us in your prayers as BEE still has to pay the bills necessary to function as a Charity. Pray that God will give us fresh ideas of how to fundraise outside the box. We thank you for your support and your prayers and we pray that God will keep you safe and Covit19 free. Consider yourselves hugged. Cheers from the BEE Girls Lyn, Jill, Carol, Alison, Lexie & Thia. See more

15.01.2022 7 May 2020 Dear Friends and Supporters of BEE, Our rapid response project to support the families of our sponsored children has been an amazing success!... Liz Mwanne, our Tanzanian coordinator, sent many photos today of the mamas receiving supplies plus 40,000 Tanzanian shillings each. I was so excited to see the photos I wanted to share a few with you as soon as possible. Eventually well have more photos posted on our website but, in the meantime, share our joy! Liz organised first the bulk buy of supplies (maize flour, pasta, beans, oil, soap and sanitiser wipes) and then its distribution in an incredibly short space of time. And, thanks to your generosity, this support can be offered again in June and July. We are so very grateful. I thank God for you all and bless you and your family in His name. Love and prayers, Lyn Barnes and the BEE Team Jill, Carol, Alison, Lexie and Thia.

13.01.2022 Dear Friends and Supporters, It is my hope and prayer that this letter finds you and your loved ones safe and well. As we expected, and dreaded, we have heard that the pandemic situation in Tanzania is affecing our students and their families. 12.01.2022 27 June 2020 Back to school! Dear Friends and Supporters of BEE, The last few weeks has been hugely busy for the families or carers of our sponsored children. As of Monday 29 june, all schools in Tanzania will be open after a three-month lockdown. University and senior secondary students commenced their return from 1 June, and now it is the turn of primary and secondary students - including 54 very excited children in the slums of Arusha. ... This is tremondous news. Not only wil the children be back learning and enjoying all all the peer interaction that is so important for their social developement, they will also be assured of two meals a day. Please God, the disruptions and anxiety caused by COVID-19 are behind them. Because of the generosity of ann those who donated to our Care Package Appeal, we have been able to deliver a fourth Care Package comprising of a food bundle for mamas and back-to-school packages for the children. High View School once again generously offered space for the packages to be bundled and clooected, with purchase and distribution all manged by our Tanzanian Coordinator, Liz Mwanne. The package for mamas comprised cooking oil and 20kg of maize. All children received a package covering the new basics for school attendance - sanitiser and soap. with 25 of the children now off to secondary boarding school, we decided no one should miss out on the extras required for boarding 9salt,sugar,washing powder, skin oil, toothpaste, underwear and socks). But only the boarding school students received the "pocket money" that covers boarding incidentald -40,000 Tanzanian shillings($25 Aussie dollars). please continue to pray for the children and the mamas. We are not planning additional Care Packages at this stage, but can assure you we will be keeping a close watch on how families are coping. and of course we will continue to pray for you and your families! With thanks from the bottom of our hearts, Lyn Barnes and the BEE Team - Jill, Carol, alison, Lexie and Thia.

12.01.2022 Dear Friends & Supporters of BEE, BEE has been so blessed by the outpouring of love and support to our recent "Care Package" Appeal. It has been absolutely overwhelming. We join with our Students and their Families in Tanzania to say, "Asante Sana -Thank You very much for your generosity. We Praise God for you, and the nicest thing about writing this thank you letter is that we are blessed twice. Once when we received your donation, and again when we remember it in writing.... We hope that you are doubly blessed in your giving. You will be thrilled when we describe the difference your gift will make to our students & their families. Your gift will put a smile on their faces and place Joy in their hearts and food on their tables. To God be the Glory and our comfort comes from knowing that God blesses the Giver. Acts 20:35----"It is more blessed to give than to receive". Please accept our sincere appreciation and we pray that God will keep you safe and well. We have just sent money to pay the rent for six months for the Mama and her son who were evicted from their home and for the Mama and her son who had no money to pay their May rent. Photos of them receiving their rent money.

04.01.2022 Dear Friends and Supporters of BEE, My heart is full! Thanks to God a second successful delivery has been made to the families of our sponsored children's as part of our Covid "Care Package"project. ... This time, not in the form of food but as huge bags of charcoal for cooking and winter warmth! Like Australia,Tanzania has instances of profiteering on essentials. Fuel for those living in the slum areas of Arusha is an essential that usually has to be bought, when it can be afforded, in small and therefore costly parcels. The price of those much needed parcels is now rising and unstable. The amazing response of donors to our call for support for Care Packages means that in addition to delivery of another two food parcels over the coming weeks we were able to step in and supply fuel at a bulk discount rate. Again, our Tanzanian coordinator, Liz Mwanne, organised distribution. And once again High View School volunteered its premises as a drop off and distribution point. Two High View employees -- "Uncle" and Zena -- helped Liz and the mamas manage the heavy bags. BEE paid for the cost of pikipikis(small motor bikes) and carts to help mamas transport the charcoal from High View to home. And we were able to order enough bags to include the High View workers in the distribution in gratitude for their help. So many benefited from yesterday's Care drop -- the children and their families, the charcoal merchants and their truck drivers, the cart delivery men, the pikipiki drivers, and the helpers on the day. The impact of your donation is immense! I would like to share with you some words from an email by Liz Mwanne yesterday after the distribution: Mom everybody was so happy. they sent a lot of thanks and greetings ---- In short everybody were so happy and everybody said that they are praying for you. May God bless you people and your family. May God give you and your family long and happy life. Be blessed in every step you make. Amen to that. We are so grateful for your generosity. "Be blessed in every step you make." Love and prayers, Lyn Barnes and the BEE Team - Jill, Carol, Alison, Lexie and Thia.
