20.01.2022 Smart snacking! One of my fave go to snacks (especially on cold miserable days)is this delight. Seed toast with my fave @mayversfood Smooth dark roasted peanut butter and banana.... Peanut butter is a good source of healthy fats and protein and i find incorporating it into snacks helps keep me satisfied until dinner time, which helps curb binge or mindless eating and with Mayvers i know there's no hidden nasties which means it's good for my body and mind!

19.01.2022 INTRODUCTION POST! Welcome to Believe In Yourself Nutrition. My name's Jess and I have been a qualifed Nutritionist since 2017 when I completed my Advanced Diploma of Nutritional Medicine. Nutrition has become a massive part of my life in recent years, especially since being diagnosed with BED (Binge Eating Disorder). But I also have 4 babies at home that I want to teach how to have a healthy relationship with food and a healthy lifestyle as it is something I have struggled... with myself my whole life. Starting Believe In Yourself Nutrition is my way of being able to help others by passing on the knowledge I have learnt through my studies and also my own personal experiences. 05.01.2022 So i know it's midway through the first month of 2020, but with a new year comes many people wanting to make resolutions around weight loss. So here are some tips on how to take a holistic approach and achieve a manageable lifestyle and diet change. 1. Avoid fad diets, diets do not work in the long run. Have you found yourself falling into the latest diet trend or plan? Best way to avoid that is to eat small regular balanced meals through out the day starting with breakfast...! 2. For sustainable weight loss the best approach is a holistic one, meaning not only diet and exercise but also addressing any physical, emotional, psychological or spiritual concerns too. 3. Incorporate a wide variety of fresh produce, organic or grain fed meats, wild caught seafood, organic or free range dairy and eggs, and wholegrains, nuts, seeds and legumes. 4. Water is your best friend! It helps flush toxins, hydrate your body and mind, and helps metabolism. 5. Address any psychological concerns with a professional psychologist or counsellor, address health concerns with your gp, get regular check ups and blood tests and if you think you might have allergies or intolerances see a professional- gp or nutritionist. 6. Incorporate some form of physical activity daily, make sure it's something you love to do so you're more inclined to stick to it. 7. Lastly make small changes and build new habits for you, that way you start loving life and you're changing your mindset, body and lifestyle to suit you.
