25.01.2022 Celebrating the spiritual dimension ... this is always a great exhibition. And my work has been selected!

20.01.2022 This Rockpool mandala from my upcoming series of 'wearable art', printed on silk.

17.01.2022 The blazing world: a series of recent bushfire/campfire images. Text is from anthropological text on Aboriginal rituals, including relationship to fire. We are taking time to visit (and spend money in) some of the fire affected areas in NSW, this image from Bendalong area.

16.01.2022 Lovely! So pleased that one of my photos from Sub/text (Kashmir) series is featured by Life Framer in their World Travelers competition (tip - it is the final image)

12.01.2022 In October we went outback camping for the first time in two years, curious to see how things are looking along the rivers in this time of terrible drought. It is no exaggeration to say that much of the landscape looks desperately sad, and that communities are dying. There is still beauty in the harsh and inhospitable environment, but the dry rivers, farmland like desert, and relentless dust storms paint a bleak picture. We drove from Bundeena to Mutawintji National Park, via Wilcannia and White Cliffs, down to Menindee Lakes via Broken Hill, to Renmark on the Murray River via Pooncarie, then returned via Barmah Forest on the Murray River. Some photos are here :)

12.01.2022 My ‘wearable art’ silk Rockpools now stocked by Liza Tinker at the gorgeous ‘My Vintage Beach’. Bundeena locals, check them out in store! https://www.facebook.com/myvintagebeach/

10.01.2022 It's been a while ... but wanted to let you know that I still have some beautiful silk 'wearable art' available for sale, check it out here, or if you are a Bundeena local drop by to my studio to see them in real life :)

09.01.2022 my new Facebook page! as usual bucking the trend and enlarging my FB presence, I decided it's time to do the 'professional' thing and post my art activities separately from my personal stuff because - well you all know how the personal stuff can go ;) Welcome all, please feel free to share, and stay tuned for recent news :)

08.01.2022 Rockpools wearable art now available at Hazelhurst Gallery Shop! Or directly from me :) See website for details.

05.01.2022 I just adore textile design and fabric art, and for a decade I have been planning a project to print my mandala designs. In the meantime, digital printing technology has greatly developed and become more affordable - so voila! Here is my first foray - a set of silk crepe de chine squares based on photographs of rockpools, from Bundeena in the Royal National Park, and the Mimosa Rocks National Park on the south coast. 04.01.2022 Hello dear friends. Seems a long time since I posted. As for many others, my art projects have been cancelled for the year. But a new project that has really picked me up and carried me away is eco-printing, using natural vegetation to dye and imprint textures onto fabric. It is not a new technique, eco-print guru India Flint (https://www.facebook.com/leafpoet/) has been doing this for decades. Inspired by her, and others, I am doing some (fairly undisciplined) experimentation. I particularly like the post-colonial insinuations of sooty-toned native Australian leaves on vintage rose damask and embroidered linen

04.01.2022 At last! My silk 'wearable art' is available at Hazelhurst Arts Centre :)
