22.01.2022 A little in home magic with this family of three. I walked into their little West Melbourne home and was greeted with the most beautiful collection of plants (I may of gotten a little too excited when I saw them). I am a self confessed plant addict I currently have about 19 filling my home and have sooo many more on my want list! If you happen to love them too and have booked a session, gather them together because there is a chance they’ll feature in a few of your images. If you don’t have plants (can’t keep them alive. I’ve been there- I once killed a cactus) don’t worry a fresh simple flower arrangement can work just as perfectly!

20.01.2022 The summer air filling our lungs, the sun kissing our skin just before it disappears, and the sound of the waves crashing the cliff face while I document their unwavering love. What a dream!

15.01.2022 I have been listen to a book on Audible called Big Magic by @elizabeth_gilbert_writer This book is changing me as an artist. It is helping me breakdown walls I have built up creatively. It is teaching me to follow my curious heart. I have so much fear showing something so close to my heart. What will the world think? Is it too weird? Is it not enough? Is it.... ?These doubts roll around like bowling balls burying the strange jewels I'm dreaming up deeper and deeper. ... Next year for me, as an artist, it's all about yes. Saying yes and bringing these visions and stories I have inside to life without fear and without worry. There are so many quotes from the book I could share but I'll only share one (If you're an artist- we all are! I highly recommend you read this book!) 14.01.2022 This was last week by the ocean. I'm not going to lie, it has been a crazy few weeks of sessions and editing and I wouldn't trade it for a thing. I have missed hanging out with families, following them around with my camera, catching those deep belly laughs and those snuggles that dig deep into the side of your neck- you know the ones I'm talking about! I'm taking bookings for 2021, so if you're wanting some rad family photos get in touch!! I'd love to hear from you. X

14.01.2022 I met Tania last year while I was shooting an elopement. She was there doing the brides hair and make-up. We got chatting and I mentioned that I was also a family photographer. The next day she sent an enquiry through and booked to have her family documented. I met her and her family in the Dandenong Ranges on the most beautiful summer evening. She mentioned that her little girl can be quite shy and would most likely turn away from the camera. ... So, I put my almost 10 years experience working in Early Childhood Eduction to use and worked a little magic. By the end of the session we were holding hands and skipping through the tall grass- safe to say we are now best friends! It was wonderful! See more

08.01.2022 Emma and Sam. This little wedding was the most beautiful love filled day. Local wild blooms, Emma wore a stunning backless lacey dress and Sam in a black tux! Nothing could stop these love birds from saying their vows.

07.01.2022 Yesterday, I visited Gather Flower Farm and locked in the location for my Mumma Muse sessions (all will be revealed soon!) and was sent home with the most beautiful bunch of sunflowers. So what does a Melbourne photographer do on the first day of lockdown after having to reschedule sessions? Take photos with a very willing participant (bribed with Bertie Beetle chocolate ) of course!

04.01.2022 Adam, Laura and their 2 beautiful little loves. Laura had booked their in-home newborn session with me before lockdown. Not getting those fresh newborn photos is devastating but looking at this session and little Alannah's full of personality, I think these are just as special! Any age is so worth documenting and remembering. If you missed out on your newborn photos because of COVID, please don't let the age of your babies stop you! Those chubby thighs and big gummy grins are some of my favourite things to snap.

02.01.2022 There isn't much that I will need to add to this post. I have taken words that Haylie had typed when she posted photo from her recent newborn session they booked with me. I first met them in 2019 when I documented their elopement in the Redwood Forest. Documenting these chapters for clients is such an honour. My clients become more than just clients, they become my friends and sharing these experiences with them is so special. Cuddle me a little longer & read me that fift...h book because the days may seem long but oh how the years fly by Words have never sung so true before not until the day I brought home our second bundle Ash. I remember leaving the hospital holding our newborn, so tiny, so perfect. I place him into the car seat and as I tighten the straps flashbacks of this moment three years ago with our first born came to memory. I stopped and gazed upon my son, soaking him all in, admiring the similarities between both my babies. As we drive towards our new journey of becoming a family of four, my heart fills with excitement at the thought of seeing my eldest. I remember when I finally got to lay eyes on him, suddenly my first little baby didn’t seem so little, suddenly right before my eyes my baby became a boy and in that moment I questioned where the years had gone? So thank you Belinda for capturing a moment forever frozen in time, a moment that when I’m old and my babies have turned into men I will sit and gaze at these memories and my heart will burst with pure ecstasy.I will be able to cherish these forever!"
