21.01.2022 I see you. You're constantly 'on'. Constantly in biz mode. Every spare moment your mind drifts over to your work. Maybe your monkey mind goes a little like... - How am I going to meet my cashflow needs this month? Is that client going to get back to me in time? I need to shuffle things around if they don't.. Will my new timetable work for my attendees? I'm thinking of angling towards a new direction but should I? What are the risks? Will I lose clients? I'm feeling so burn...t out. I can never wake up refreshed. I wish I just had a normal job. No, no I don't, I love this lifestyle but I just wish I could get on top of things. If only I felt on top of things at home. But if you’re completely exhausted, burnt out, constantly pouring from an empty cup, irritable due to wacky hormones, living off sugar and caffeine, and getting up and doing it all again tomorrow...wellllll can you really operate in that positive, high vibing state? -... 16.01.2022 What’s your plan for your own self care? I love this list and can really relate to most things on here. I actually think they apply to everyone (not just empaths), but those of us who are a little more sensitive should really consider adhering to this! Do you have a plan for your own self care? Do you value it? Do you take time out for it? I believe that self care is a massive part of any healing journey. It's like filling up your car with petrol - self care is filling yo...ur body up with energy that allows you to function. Self care can be discarded for being one of those buzz words, a trend for the woo-woo types and the people with too much time, but I can't emphasise how important self care is and has been to my health and wellbeing. Dedicating some time each day to a few of these things isn't selfish, greedy or a waste of time. It is ESSENTIAL for your health and happiness. Taking care of yourself is not optional! 13.01.2022 Your body has the A N S W E R S are you listening? Our body has this innate intelligence, it's actually amazing. It knows what's off balance and tries to fix it. It gives us subtle signs that something is not quite right. It tries to keep us healthy, even though perhaps we aren't looking after it as well as we could be.... But most of us ignore it. We don't listen. And that's where things start to fall apart. Both for our mental and our physical health. Imagine what it would be like to tune into your body? To quieten everything down. To listen. To pay attention. The easiest way to do this is to MEDITATE. I know this scares a lot of people away, but the benefits are astounding. Some things you can try: Focus on your breath, maybe try four counts in and four out Set your timer for 2-5 minutes, close your eyes and simply breathe (as above) Try meditating in nature, watching the waves roll into the shore at the beach or the trees swaying in the breeze in the bush Guided meditations are helpful, there are plenty on YouTube or apps too. Get still. Get quiet. And tune back in to yourself

13.01.2022 Hello Monday! I spent the whole weekend in work mode, for a two day intensive functional medicine training for chronic and complex cases. This training was right up my alley as majority of my clients present with long term issues that they just can’t resolve (or at the very least, manage well). Think unexplained tiredness/fatigue, chronic skin conditions, wacky hormones, gut issues and chronic stress.. It’s honestly a game changer for my clinic and how I practice and I cannot wait to implement these tools and strategies with my clients

12.01.2022 There's nothing I love more than my Sunday morning trips to the farmers markets with my fambam to pick up all my fresh produce for the week. It's such a small thing, but I love being surrounded by so many people who value not only their own health and wellbeing, but also that of our farmers, growers and artisans. - Organic fresh food is not just about leaning away from pesticides and toxins, but food that is grown in better conditions are MORE alive, with MORE enzymes and... higher quality nutrients. You may pay more $$ for organic, but you get more bang for your buck and your body utilises the nutrients in a more efficient manner when you nourish it with premium fuel. See more

11.01.2022 Introducing my love: T R E L L O There are some standout organisational systems out there - I'm looking at you Asana, Milanote, Monday. But Trello has got to be my favourite. Why? It fills up my list cup. I love the visual aspect of lists and how simple and clear this layout is. It is super easy to drag and drop the items (cards) to other lists, I’m constantly rearranging as my life changes.... I use it to block and organize my work for the upcoming week, so at a glance I can visually see how my time looks on a particular day. I love the hundreds of board backgrounds to choose from. It is so easy to share boards with other members of your team. I have shared boards with so many clients, which house tasks to do, login details, braindump areas, content schedules and ideas, upcoming podcasts - the options are endless. It’s free!!!! I also have multiple personal boards in Trello too. It literally organizes my whole work and personal life. For example, some of my boards include: business tasks, business development, content schedule, specific project boards, movement schedule, SOPs, life lists, oh and I also have a shared one with my sister where we add book and video recommendations with each other. 11.01.2022 Re-watching this just reignites things for me. I remember how I felt in the moment of recording this. To know this feeling means it’s so much easier to be able to get it back when you drift away from it - and we all drift away from time to time. When was the last time you felt your most healthy?

11.01.2022 Mission with a difference I’ve always struggled writing the typical mission statement, or elevator pitch. Probably because it’s said in a way that comes from yourself, the business owner/the coach/the healer/the experience giver/the inventor. But flip it - how does your ideal client explain what you do? This is how I want my ideal client to describe their experience of working with me:... I stumbled across Bel who had this weird passion about business systems and operations. But she actually showed me how my business systems could be soulful, and a way to keep structure in my life and business without it feeling restrictive. My mental load has decreased, I no longer battle burnout and I feel in flow (most days). 06.01.2022 E N E R G Y L E A K S This has been on my mind the last week or so and it’s all about plugging up the leaks in your energy and headspace, so you can in turn give 100% to the things that need your focus. I know I have tons of little leaks - some are unavoidable, but some are of my own doing and often appear as habits or procrastinations or simply just operating in a non-present state. First step, as always, is to have awareness of what’s happening. Of what or who is wasting... your time. Of what you could be more efficient at or what you could outsource to someone else to get it off your to-do list. Of where you’re actually doing yourself a disservice. Then, do something about it. Maybe you need to expend a little more energy at first to get it sorted or to develop a better habit or to figure out a solution. But I promise you that when these little energy leaks are fixed, your focus and intent and RESPECT for your time and energy increases ten fold. See more

06.01.2022 Let’s talk about S K I N . . . - This is my hand right now, after a month of trialing not taking my fish oils and also having a LOT on my plate (i.e. my body perceiving this as stress). What you can’t see is it all over the tips of my fingers too (fun when you are trying to squeeze a lemon ). I suffer from dry skin, contact dermatitis and, when my hormones are out of balance, adult acne plagues me as well.... But I have figured out (over many years and much trial and error whilst I was a naturopathy student) what works for ME. fish oils as a non negotiable (and right now it’s a painful reminder to always take them) dairy free diet (this was a huge turning point for me 6 years ago) looking after my gut (either healing gut lining, or focusing on weeding/seeding/feeding gut bacteria) processed food wholefoods zinc at least every second day keeping stress levels in check I don’t do expensive topical creams and fancy doodah...I prefer to look at it as a healthy inside = a healthy outside. I’m truly passionate about helping others with these conditions as I live it and I have to be conscious about all of the above constantly. But we are all individual and what works for me may not work for you, so it’s always good to see a health practitioner to figure out why skin flares for YOU (hint: I’d love to see you. 05.01.2022 Walking away from 2 0 1 8 like byeeeeee! *queen wave* - Honestly it's been a BIG year, but a really solid one of lessons. Last year (2017) I was full of grief and heartache after walking away from the Hunter Valley farm that had my heart and then losing both my precious dogs shortly after relocating to Newcastle, and so my focus during 2018 was to heal - whatever that looked like and however messy it got. I followed my intuition with decisions rather than logic, I gave m...yself space when I needed it and I got more vulnerable than I ever thought I'd be. My body also threw in some extra health issues that I didn’t see coming. But hey, let's just heal on every level shall we ;) I stepped back from business for a while as I knew I couldn't serve my clients 100% when I wasn't showing up for myself. - At the beginning of this year I chose my word to be GROWTH - and it's been a huge year of that, funnily enough ;) - So 2019... This is the year of INTENT and PURPOSE. Of following the feeling and only engaging in things that light me up. Of acting ON purpose as well as living my purpose. Of not being all things to all people and knowing that is ok, as long as I'm acting from truth. It's also the year that I uplevel my own health. 05.01.2022 There is so much truth to that old saying - you are what you eat. You are. You are literally absorbing all the properties of whatever food or food-like product (read- chemical shit storm) that you put into your mouth. Those nutrients then go on to help create new cells and repair damaged ones; they dictate what our skin looks like, how well our liver processes toxins, how happy we feel as well as our energy levels. And if you’re consuming something that is devoid of nutrients...? Your body actually leeches other stored nutrients JUST to be able to process the crap food. It’s taking vitamins and minerals that were going to be used to maintain your beautiful skin or that were going to regulate your hormones or help with muscle repair after your gym session, and instead they have to go to work cleaning up the processed foods out of your system. Your benefit? Zero. Just eat real food, people. What you put into your body affects nearly every area of your life. 02.01.2022 B L U E B E R R I E S I’m not a huge fruit eater but these little babies are just so easy to snack on and give you a huge antioxidant boost! This means they can help drive down inflammation in the body (the root cause of so so many diseases and ailments) and support your immune system. - They are at their peak in season now so make sure you pop down to your organic store or farmers markets and grab yourself some (pesticide free) berries.... 02.01.2022 A little note on treats + toxins... I believe in eating with balance, and not deprivation. If we deprive, we often fail. And when we fail, we often binge. Solution?... If you want something sweet, a little treat of some kind, stick with the wholefoods people! Yes they can be high in natural sugars (hence why you still shouldn't overdo it!) but you are getting much more fibre and plant food than you would in mass-produced, factory-processed fake foods that come along with a ton of trans fats, additives, preservatives and toxins for your body. Your body then not only has to process the sugars, but also needs to breakdown these additional toxins which firstly can overload a sluggish liver and then are packed up and transported to sit inside a fat cell where they are "held" - this is why we expand when we eat crappy food!! The more toxins and crap we ingest, the more fat cells need to be produced to house the toxic molecules - your body does this to PROTECT you from toxic metabolites. It has your best interests at heart your expansion is a protection mechanism so the toxic metabolites don’t wreak more havoc. If you then don’t rid your body of these toxins quick enough, this is where chronic disease, ailments and obesity can start to occur. Sticking to wholefoods - whether for meals or sweet treats - is the best way to ensure your bod can squeeze maximum nutrients out with minimal toxins to deal with.
