23.01.2022 It's been a busy week creating pieces for my pop-up shop this Sunday 8 December. Here are some of my creations that I'll be taking along. Make sure to pop by on Sunday between 9am and 1pm at upstairs in Hawdon Chambers between the Barmera library and theatre, to say hello and the check out my creations. 10% of all profits from the pop-up shop will go to support fundraising efforts by a young Loxton girl Mikayla Lehmann and her mum Tanya Lehmann, to support "Stitches of Hope" . https://www.stitchesofhope.org.au/about-stitches-of-hope.ht

23.01.2022 Today Im getting high on sealant. Im sealing up paintings and designs ready for their next phase of development or to go off to their new owners. This step in the process can be tricky, especially on windy days, but it is a very important part of the process to ensure the longevity of your pieces so that they can be enjoyed by their owners for a long time to come. Protecting your pieces is just thing to consider, but another thing that I like is the shine you get on your pieces and how the sealant can make those vibrant colours even more vibrant - they just pop. Adding that little be extra to the final effect and bringing your pieces to life.

17.01.2022 FRIEND I WILL WALK WITH YOU (A free-verse poem by Kat Bell) On this journey we shall walk side by side Knowing only that we are one with each other.... A pebble drops into the puddle when the rain has fallen And we skip over it on our way to our final destination. Clouds plumply blow bursts of wind down on our sun-baked faces as we play amongst the river reeds. We dance in swirls of spring flowers and long waving grasses. You jump and I skip beside you in unison. We shall forever share this journey together as one. Two friends on a long walk, soaking up the suns rays chatting without hesitation or hindrance, talking of our adventures past and those still to come. This is our journey as one, side by side for always and ever. See more

17.01.2022 These vibrant super cute pieces are going to become part of my new bell curve bag range. I'll be designing and handmaking the bags over the next two weeks to get ready for my upcoming pop-up shop in Barmera on the 8th of Dec. I'm forever coming up with new ways to reuse, recycle and upcycle clothing, fabrics and other found or reclaimed items. These paintings have been painted onto old fabric leftovers from an upholstery project. I'll be combining them with denim from ol...d jeans and other fabrics from old clothing that are no longer in use. They are one off handcrafted pieces, so when you buy a piece from my Bell Curve Collection you know you are getting something totally unique and one-of-a-kind. I love creating new things from old, giving new life to the pre-loved and injecting my art into wearable items (such as jewellery, shoes, clothing and bags). See more

13.01.2022 We are all welcome here (a poem by Kat Bell) The light dims and your heart quivers There are times when your mind has the shivers I offer you my hand ... and guide you to through my land to a space made for healing because we all know that feeling When you need somewhere safe We are all welcome in this space A smile glimmers down upon us Giving hope when we are less robust When things are not so bright I offer you some light A moment to ponder To look to the yonder Knowing what we face We are all welcome in this space Some days can be hard Struggle is on the card I reach out my hand To guide you through my land A simple connection A small act of affection Healing in this place We are all welcome in this space
