11.01.2022 Out on the Patio a three act musical comedy presented by the Bell Theatre Group It is a wonderful occasion a garden party the sun is shining on Winston Downs and all is right with the world Georgina Winston-Roberts world, that is. Ladies in their finery, men in their Sunday best, with good food and fine wine all supplied by the grand old owner of the property, old George Winston. What could possibly go wrong you ask?. As sometimes happens when families come together to mingle with friends, especially the upper class sort, things can tend to go a bit awry. Add to this mix with skeletons in the closet, ostriches and alpacas, and a Golden Mercedes we are left to wonderbut all will soon be revealed Dear readersthe curtain is about to rise.

06.01.2022 Georgina Winston-Roberst (Vanessa Glesson) after a few ups and downs is ecstatic about how beautiful her garden party setting looks. Georgina and her friend Charles Elms (Jason Holden) have to their minds anyway, managed to get her father old George Winston (Eddie Moss) out of the way as her honoured guests mingle on the patio at Winston Downs. Among the guests are the Mayor of Winston, Irma Veale (Bev Gibson) and her inebriated husband Dick Veale (Ged Borthistle), The W...inston Council COE Charlie Staedler (Jim Parker) and his wife Cheryl (Elaine Vadasz), Mavis Whitehead (Maureen Moss) known as the town gossip, and the editor of the local rag Francisca Jocobs, (Nancy Evans) with camera in hand to take some happy snaps. Georginas daughter, Kathleen Winston-Roberts (Andie Walker) is dallying with the farm worker, Jock Cummings (Shane Cora), much to Georginas aggravation but with the arrival of young George Winston-Roberts (John Flynn) and financee in tow Candy, (Harmony Greet) her spirts lifted somewhat. Finally, all is in readiness for Georginas big moment. You have to remember that Georgina has aspirations of becoming part of the privileged few on the Winston local council and you can image her outrage when her unkempt and laid back neighbour Kenny Barlow (Steve Taylor) arrived. He brought with him two scruffy looking characters Weny Jardine (Trudi Bartlett) and Thomas Jardine (Adam Poole) as well as his prize ostriches. This is not planned..ostriches on Winston Downsunheard of..What can go wrong next! To be continued See more
