12.01.2022 66kg of food donations on the way to Foodbank Victoria to help those affected by the bush fires.

07.01.2022 The Government yesterday announced the Job Keeper Payment for any business that has or will experience a 30% reduction in revenue for businesses with revenue of less than $1 billion. Eligible employers will receive $1500 per fortnight before tax for full time, part time (employed as of 1/3/20) or long term casual (employed for greater than 1 year at 1/3/20) employees and this will ensure eligible businesses employees will receive a minimum payment of $1500 per fortnight for 6... months. If your employer receives this payment on your behalf they will be required to pay you the full $1500 per fortnight. If you are a part time or casual worker who previously earned $800 per fortnight for example you will now receive the full $1500 payment per fortnight however the employer will only have to pay superannuation guarantee based on the $800 per fortnight you were originally receiving. If you currently earn more than $1500 per fortnight your employer may still receive the Job Keeper payment to subsidize your salary but is not required to pass it on to you. The government has encouraged employers to pay this to their employees immediately but most small-medium businesses dont have the available cash flow to support that so they will need to wait to receive the payments in the first week of May and back pay eligible employees to the 30th March 2020. Employers can register their interest in applying for this payment by visiting https://www.ato.gov.au/general/gen/JobKeeper-payment/ and the ATO will keep you informed on the claim process. If your currently unemployed or stood down and your employer is ineligible for the payment or doesnt attempt to claim the payment you will need to contact Services Australia and attempt to claim the Job Seeker payment which is approximately $1,100 per fortnight (contact Services Australia to get an accurate assessment). If your an employer and would like any further information regarding any of the economic stimulus packages announced by the government in response to Covid-19 please feel free to contact Bell Partnership for assistance. If your an employee who has been stood down, sacked or had your hours reduced (since 1/3/20) this may still apply to you and you should contact your current or previous manager/payroll or HR officer to enquire about your eligibility.
