18.01.2022 Whilst we were all locked down at home during stage 4 in Melbourne, the Sorpreso girls spent plenty of time cooking together. During restrictions we celebrated a wedding, 2 birthdays, and a graduation. We particularly enjoyed exploring Japanese and Vietnamese foods. Here is one of the recipes we enjoyed courtesy of MrsTransKitchen and https://buff.ly/2EL56yn. Teriyaki Baos 1 packet Mrs Trans Bao Buns, steamed for 8-10 minutes MEAT 400g chicken thigh, cut in strips... 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce Marinate for two hours Cook in a pan with EVOO (minimum required) Coat in 1 TBS sesame seeds, white or black Bao salad fillings: 2 carrots, shaved (or grated) 2 Lebanese Cucumbers, shaved (or grated) Iceberg or Cos lettuce Red cabbage, thinly sliced Sauce: 1/2 cup Kewpie Mayo 1/2 cup hoisin Optional: chilli oil or chilli flakes Put sauce on base of Baos, fill with salads, and choice of protein, top with sauce. Baos are best eaten immediately See more

16.01.2022 At this time of year normally, our founder and head designer Angela would be networking up a storm and visiting Christmas markets. 2020 certainly put it's own stamp on business plans. This year, government restrictions meant that group workshops were impossible to facilitate and resin was difficult to source. Networking and markets have moved online for now.
