Last term we did a mix of highland and Irish dancing in the one dance. 16.01.2022 Exams for BCD done and dusted. Well done to all!

11.01.2022 What a year 2020 has been! We started so hopeful with our new school name and uniform ready to hit the ground running. We fit our first highland competition and St Patrick’s Day in and then the shutdown began. We were introduced to Zoom and running online classes, then we were allowed small groups outside so my driveway became our make shift studio. Soon we were allowed back in the studio. We soon put all our new work into practice working towards highland exams and the next level for our Irish dancers. The rest of the year (albeit quiet) went by introducing new students to the school and seeing our dancers grow. Hopefully 2021 sees the return of competitions and the ability to travel and see our dancing friends and family #irishdancing #highlanddancing #northqueensland #townsvilleshines

07.01.2022 I finally finished it! Welcome to the new (but old) BCD. Those that participated in our Monday zoom classes and then home class during lockdown joined in (including my Irish guys) to put together this little compilation showing the different shirts we’ve had over the 43 years of our school. We had so much fun doing this and we have enjoyed some new challenges during the past couple of months but it certainly has helped our little dance school grow closer together

06.01.2022 Would really love to see some BCD parents join me and the senior dancers this term. You will get to learn the basic movements your kids are doing as well as do something for yourself. Class is straight after our Monday classes so there’s no excuses.

06.01.2022 Our next youngest Lucas joined us for his first St Patrick’s Day to finish off a dance with something he felt confident doing. Oggie joined in with his crab dance. Not sure where that has come from but it worked
