25.01.2022 The cancellation of traditional ANZAC Day services this year has been sad, but it has forced us to channel some of the ANZAC spirit of ingenuity as we think of new and different ways to mark this special occasion. Below are some ways to honour defense personnel, past and present as shared by the RSL... 1. Light Up The Dawn... RSL Victoria are inviting you to stand at the end of your driveway, on your balcony or porch, or in your living room to remember all those who have served and sacrificed for this nation. 2. Plant Rosemary 3. Make a Rosemary Wreath 4. Bake ANZAC Biscuits 5. Help An Older Veteran 6. Donate to the ANZAC Appeal 7. Enjoy a Gunfire Breakfast 8. Video Call Your Loved Ones 9. Recite The Ode 10. Create Your Own Shrine #LightUpTheDawn #ANZACSPIRIT #LestWeForget #ANZACDay2020 https://rslqld.org//Latest-N/Marking-ANZAC-Day-differently

04.01.2022 Beautiful Marty at Oakdene is one very special venue. We are so grateful to their wonderful team who work with us through out the year.

04.01.2022 Any other year, across the nation, RSL services would be held for the community to attend. A crowd would be gathering at the cenotaph in the park in Ocean Grove and Philip Christian, in his role as padre, would be participating in the dawn service of the Ocean Grove Barwon Heads sub-branch. Faces would appear out of the gloom as the dawn breaks and it would be a moving time in tribute to the fallen and all who have served in all wars. In our communities and families we can... still be innovative and find ways to honour our servicemen and servicewomen. #ANZACDay2020 #lestweforget

03.01.2022 UPDATE We are so mindful of the need to provide both the professionalism and the humanity needed in difficult times. With the added layers of uncertainty and Government regulations we are all currently facing, we will continue, more than ever, to demonstrate these values. We continue to offer and understand the need for a deeply meaningful way to start the first steps of saying goodbye. The Stage 2 restrictions introduced by the Government at last nights National Cabinet mee...ting now restrict the maximum number of people attending a funeral to 10 persons. We offer e-tributes and webcasts to ensure those who are unable to attend can still take part and offer support and comfort. Please talk with your Arranger who will guide you through this time and your options and please continue to check our dedicated FAQ for further clarification. We remain here for you, 24/7. Call us on (03) 5248 3444, email [email protected]. https://www.kingsfunerals.com.au/kings-/coronavirus-update/
