22.01.2022 Sharing a video tonight from one of my online students Miss S. She has been working very hard on two tricky concepts in this piece - dotted rhythms and triple time! This book features a collection of quirky, engaging and imaginative pieces for late beginner students to learn. This piece I Spy a Fly is about a spider spinning her web for lunch. 10.01.2022 The Week that Was... Term 4 Week 6 Our Studio Concert is coming up in just 2 weekends’ time and students are busily polishing their pieces and preparing for the big day! Awards are being collated and the program is beginning to be drafted up. I love this time of year in the studio with the excitement of sharing music and receiving well-deserved awards for hard work. Student milestones to celebrate this week...... Congratulations to Miss P, Miss S, Miss L, Miss L and Master S who each performed in an in-school cushion concert this week. Your performances were confident and engaging! Miss C has completed 30 pieces since starting lessons last term with lots of rote pieces, beginning reading and transposing in Piano Safari Miss E continues to build her piano skills with 50 short pieces completed from Dogs and Birds Master C is another student enjoying music from Piano Safari and has clocked up 60 pieces this year Smiley Master V is also using the Dogs and Birds books with an impressive 80 pieces and rhythm exercises learned this year A very big clap for Miss T and Miss S who both had 6 days of piano practice this week. This short little piece features coordinating both hands playing at the same while singing the lower notes.
