12.01.2022 Introducing Giulian Grasso, Viola and Third Violin. Giulian Grasso began the violin at the young age of 7, completing his grade 8 AMEB at 16. Whilst still in school, Giulian was taught under the strict rule of Nicholas Stefan for the majority of his playing. Playing in chamber orchestras for most of his musical life, playing from Mozart Divertimenti’s to Ravel String Quartets, his excitement for a new chapter awaits. Giulian played in the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra for 3 yea...rs after being awarded with a scholarship in 2017 to The Southport School for Music. At his time at TSS he has picked up a numerous number of other instruments, including Guitar, Bass, Oboe, Piano and Viola. However, even with the distractions of other instruments, his love of violin has never wavered. Giulian has been playing with the Gold Coast Philharmonic Orchestra for the past year now, beginning his time there with the Globally Broadcasted recital of The Planets by Gustav Holst. His passion now exceeds his potential with being offered a soloist performance in front of two separate orchestras, one the Gold Coast Philharmonic and another at The Southport School, at the end of the year. Only now recently picking up the Viola to play and found Bella Strings. See more

01.01.2022 Introducing Momo Misumi, Momo Misumi, like Giulian, began learning the cello at the age of 7. Whilst in primary school, Momo’s love of the cello exceeded her academics, almost distracting. When she entered high school at Emmanuel College, she was awarded with section leader for her senior years. Leading the section the school orchestra and chamber orchestra, in 2016 Emmanuel College won First Place at the Eisteddfod for A grade Chamber Strings. Whilst studying in school, Mom...o joined the Gold Coast Youth Orchestra and continued with them for 9 years, only retiring at the beginning of 2019. Like every musician, Momo picked up another instrument throughout her high schooling years. The bass clarinet was an instrument that Momo adapted to extremely well and unconsciously lifted her Cello playing. Momo has now joined the Gold Coast Philharmonic orchestra only in the past few months, playing Cello. Sought out for her talent from Bella Strings where Momo’s enthusiasm and love of Cello brings a new light to the Quartet. See more
