21.01.2022 Good afternoon!! Lets talk going lighter There is so much stigma around going from dark to light and a lot of this is because we arent educated enough!!... Every person has different genetic makeup, a different colour history and different underlying pigments. When going lighter it is impossible to tell exactly how its going to turn out and all we can do as hairdressers is give our clients a guideline and plan a journey and make goals whilst of course keeping the condition of your hair our number one priority!! Please dont think you can get from super dark with years or box dye build up in your hair to a clean, EVEN, ashy blonde in one sitting. Yes, sometimes after at least 2 sessions it can be possible but its never promised! It purely depends on the hair. The most common expectation should be that we hit a lovely shade of red orange first up, toning down to a bright caramel and slowly getting lighter each time and as clean as possible. I can write about this forever but education is so important and having a clear understanding that going lighter IS A JOURNEY, EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT! So. Find an awesome hairdresser you trust and sit back and enjoy the ride **below are pictures of the 10 natural shades of our hair. The other colours are the underlying pigments that are within these shades. So when we lift our hair, each time we throw a different pigment. With this pigment your hairdresser must then counteract it to give you a desired result. (The darker you are or more dark buildup you have the more red and orange your hair will throw and the harder it is to remove)

09.01.2022 What an amazing journey already for this beautiful client! Today was our 3rd session of going lighter (and shorter today!!) We started with dark hair that hadnt been coloured in 2 years, a slight buildup on the ends and a goal in mind to eventually blend in those greys! Although we are still working on getting a cleaner blonde each time, Im still so amazed with this outcome and how quickly we were able to achieve it!!
