25.01.2022 Update from Western Power: Good morning everyone We currently have approximately 500 customers without power in Mullewa.... There are a large number of faults in the area, including pole top fires and lines down. This will unfortunately mean customers should prepare for an extended outage, most likely overnight and into tomorrow. The generator in town has not been switched on until we have thoroughly assessed the hazards, this is to prevent further incident and to ensure community safety. Outages in the north are particularly widespread with more than 7000 customers affected. Extra crews have been dispatched from the Perth metro area to assist and our priority is to make all affected areas safe and then restore power as quickly as possible. We are dealing with multiple poles in various locations that have been damaged through humidity and moisture. When we have misty and/or humid conditions (generally along the coast) or light drizzling rain, this can combine with dust and pollution and create a paths or tracks on the insulators which lets electricity jump across. We appreciate that power outages are never convenient, and please be assured all available teams on the ground and in our network control centre are working to restore power safely to affected communities. 24.01.2022 Covid-19 preparation update: 1. Covid cleaning box prepared 2. Waiting room cleared no toys books or magazines 3. IT to be installed for Skype arranged. A patient handout will be given next week on how to upload Skype to iPad, iPhone, Android and pc. Include instructions how to make Skype appointments. Also given to Shire for mail out. When setup completed. We begin practice consultations thereafter. Medical center still open for business as usual at present time and until fu...rther notice. 4. Scrubs ordered for receptionist, casual nurse and me. 5. Parents isolation bunker prepared and stocked 100 km away. 6. Government supply surgical masks ordered and on their way. 7. Meeting with NM and Infectious Diseases Nurse, hospital nurses and contingency plan in place. If any friends/ patients are worried please contact us for sitrep. 16.01.2022 We had to shut our doors earlier than anticipated today but all is ok. We also had our first day of telephone appointments which ran awesomely. Skype letter will be dropped into letter boxes tomorrow and also through the community email run though the Shire. This move is to protect patients and staff. Its actually very efficient! Car park immunizations when flu jabs arrive (think McDonalds drive through!) just need to wait 15 minutes before leaving. Mid to late April. We would just like to thank everyone for their wonderful understanding and cooperation.

03.01.2022 COMMUNITY SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Road closure due to power lines down 30 January 2020... Walkaway Nangetty Road is currently closed from Mullewa Mingenew Road intersection to Depot Hill Road due to fallen power lines. Emergency services are on the scene and Western Power has been notified. Members of the community are requested to avoid the area if possible and obey all warning signs and directions from authorised City Personnel and Contractors.
