16.01.2022 Currently working with the Samoan ICU nurses and doctors and International staff, looking after the very sick children from the Measles Catastrophic Epidemic. To date Monday 9th December 2019, 65 people, mainly children under 4 yrs have lost their lives from a completely preventable disease. Very sad time in history. I brought some Critical Care Nurses across from NZ and AUS with help from ADRA. Wonderful team. Thank you so much.

11.01.2022 FDA clearance for bellavista 1000 At the beginning of August, imtmedical ag received 510(k) clearance for the ventilator bellavista 1000 from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA). To get the clearance, we were put through a complex procedure, in which our device was examined and deemed fit for FDA approval. This clearance is an important step for imtmedical: We are now able to deliver our bellavista 1000 ventilators in a new market and can fulfil the requirements of other institutions worldwide, which require FDA cleared ventilators.

09.01.2022 bellavista 1000e ventilator: When bigger is better The bellavista 1000e is the latest ICU ventilator from imtmedical. It is a further development of the successful bellavista 1000 and offers a number of new features. New display features: All values are clearly arranged and can be read at a glance on the high-definition 17.3" glass touchscreen. The user-friendly and intuitive operating concept, known from our existing ventilators, has been adapted to the larger screen and facilitates the rapid recognition of the patient's condition.

06.01.2022 Absolutely wrecked. Very busy three days at Intensive Care Meeting on the Gold Coast. Lots of interest in my ET Tube securing and safety device, and the new 17.3 Screen bellavista 1000e. Trials for both to be negotiated. Very exciting. Will need to rest up and back to lots of bookings and follow ups on Monday.

05.01.2022 After spending three weeks at the peak of this catastrophic epidemic with a batch of bellavista 1000e ventilators, I saw some very graphic scenes. However we were able to save many lives with the high end easy to use bellavista ventilators. The Samoan people are beautiful people and have been very welcoming, hospitable and supportive, especially ADRA Samoa. When I arrived, there had been 22 deaths. When I left after three weeks, there had been 79 deaths. Total is now 83. Any more than one death from measles is a travesty. Nearly a whole generation of Samoan people have been decimated. Fortunately the vaccination program from WHO has been very effective. So glad it is now over and I can retrieve my ventilators.
