25.01.2022 We remember them Today is Remembrance Day when we traditionally observe a minute’s silence at 11am if our work allows. We do this in memory of those who died or suffered in all wars and armed conflicts. We remember particularly the nurses, doctors, orderlies, allied and mental health professionals who have served our country, including many among the more than 100,000 Australian service personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice. 24.01.2022 Dear Community, We are pleased to announce that we have adjusted our visitor policy to reflect the easing of restrictions, recently announced by the Victorian Government. Our patients can now have 2 visitors per day from family and friends, residing with the patient at their home.... Visiting hours are 4pm 6pm daily We continue to ask for all visitors to maintain social distancing, hand hygiene and wearing of masks, whilst on site. Thank-you for your support and understanding. Diabetics also account for 30% of all patients in hospital. This years Heads-Up campaign shines a light on the impact diabetes has on mental health. ... It is recognized that people with diabetes make up to 180 diabetes-related health decisions every day. These can range from monitoring blood sugar levels, regulating dietary intake and exercising to manage their condition. This need for relentless decision making can lead to serious mental health illness. 16.01.2022 Elective surgery restrictions will begin lifting across metropolitan Melbourne from 28th September. This is wonderful news for the thousands of Victorians who’ve had much-needed surgery put on hold. At Bellbird Private Hospital, we are working closely with our surgeons to start reducing this backlog of urgent surgeries. Our hospital has a range of safety and screening protocols in place to protect our patients and staff, along with strict social distancing. We are prepared and ready to care.
