She explains that children playing in the playground, instead of in nature, miss out on creative, imaginative play that is open-ended and unstructured. 22.01.2022 We celebrated the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Childrens Day. We had lots of fun activities. Reading Karana the Emu, Learning a new song called Naya Baya - Together, we are strong. Playing traditional games called Boogalah and Apwerte. Baking Dampers for morning tea. Learning about traditional body art, symbols and patterns with clay powder. The tale of Budji Bim the volcano made with sustainable materials.
