25.01.2022 It's been wonderful weather for fires. The children put their fire safety learning into practice beautifully and the treats are pretty good too
25.01.2022 We're looking forward to seeing most of our kindergarteners in person next week We're looking forward to seeing most of our kindergarteners in person next week
23.01.2022 It was a quiet week with reduced numbers but the children attending adapted well to the change in pace
23.01.2022 Our chicks have all been adopted and gone off to their new homes today - after a little cuddle, of course.
23.01.2022 I got a bit busy this week and didn't make a fresh collection of photos. Here's one I prepared earlier (first term)
22.01.2022 Recently our bee hive was split. If you look closely at the photos of Tony in action you can see the spiral hive structure that Australian stingless bees build.
22.01.2022 We work hard so the children at Kindy feel safe and secure with us - we didn't expect it would work for differently-abled wildlife too! Since our return we've noticed a new little resident hopping around the yard. Lovingly named Halfwing (thank-you Lucy), this little noisy miner potters around eating insects all day and hops up into low branches to sleep at night. Its' family even visits from time to time
21.01.2022 The children were really pleased to be with their friends again after the break. So much play!!
20.01.2022 The children enjoyed their time together right until the very last minute. Hope everyone has a safe and happy break
20.01.2022 The yard looks and smells fantastic. Big thanks to this morning’s helpers
18.01.2022 I’ve had some lovely company while I finalised transition statements and emailed drafts to families. Now it’s time to go home and make like a
18.01.2022 Bellbowrie kindy has managed to remain a great place to play for the children who attended amid the madness this week It's no wonder we love it here
16.01.2022 Our children's art show is over for another year. To everybody who attended - thank you for your patience and to those unable to drop in - I hope you enjoy these photos of the children's work. Spectacular!!
16.01.2022 Bellbowrie Kindergarten has a vacancy available in Group A. This group attends Kindy between 8:22am & 2:30pm Mondays, Tuesdays and alternate Wednesdays during school terms. 16.01.2022 We learned a little about life in the Torres Strait through the week. Richard told us stories of his dad and we learned about the Torres Strait Island flag and some of the animals that live a the top end of Australia. Koeyma eso (thank you) Richard!
14.01.2022 Things will be a little different when kindy returns next week. There’s lots of construction action to see
13.01.2022 Compost and soft fall is good to go. Rest up working bee helpers - there is shovelling to do tomorrow! Any shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows you bring with you will also be put to work
13.01.2022 We decided to investigate who has been digging holes at Kindy. We followed the spoor and set up our wildlife camera to track its' nocturnal activities. There is a bandicoot who loves Bellbowrie Kindy too!
12.01.2022 Some beautiful moments from the week - and, of course - more play
12.01.2022 Loose parts are always popular but the ducting was really put through its' paces this week.
11.01.2022 All set up and ready to go for today’s AGM
11.01.2022 If you're stretching your legs these holidays, take a spin past kindy and see what you can find in our soft toy treasure hunt: a fierce welcome 3 animals in a tree a bunny on the fire pole someone monkeying around... a pachyderm playing the fire pit practicers a teddy bear's picnic dollies digging a tiger waiting to pounce a trapeze artist a bilby See more
11.01.2022 Most of the teddies have come inside after their fortnight of entertaining passers-by. One little guy just loves monkeying around too much and couldn't be convinced to go for a spin in the washing machine Keep an eye out for him if you're near kindy
10.01.2022 Usually our pupil free days are filled with meetings but this week we did our bi-annual fire training complete with practical component - check out the action shots!
09.01.2022 It was wonderful to have most of our kindergarteners back this week and an absolute delight to witness their joy in being here again
09.01.2022 At Bellbowrie Kindy we have a camera just for the children to use in documenting their play. Occasionally we discover some gems on the reel. Enjoy
08.01.2022 Sustainability was front and centre this week when we had a close look at our worm farm. We found out what what the little guys like to eat (and why) and saw what our food looks like when they're done with it. Their castings were a fantastic addition to our garden beds to help our seedlings grow
08.01.2022 We love loose parts at our kindy - and using a flint and steel to try lighting our fire bowls.
08.01.2022 They may be tiny but our silkworm caterpillars are hungry little fellas If you have some, please drop mulberry leaves at kindy for the little guys. Please leave them at the gate if you’d prefer not to come in
07.01.2022 It was a busy week on the construction site inspiring lots of questions from the children about what's happening, why, how long it will take and what it will all look like when it's done
07.01.2022 It was an exciting day of construction today with pillars being craned into place - although the auger on Wednesday was pretty entertaining too
05.01.2022 Even though the official celebration of Children's Book Week isn't until later in the year, we just couldn't wait to dress up and read some stories at Bellbowrie Kindy
04.01.2022 The masterpieces have all been hung ready for the children's art show tomorrow afternoon. We hope you can spare some time for a viewing
02.01.2022 Our annual trip to Trevena Glen was another highlight for children and adults alike
01.01.2022 It was an exciting week with the wildlife that visits kindy but we still managed to fit in some play
01.01.2022 It's Henny Penny time again. Most of the chicks have hatched overnight but we've managed to capture one or two emerging from their eggs - talk about hard work!! (Hatching, I mean)
01.01.2022 Another break, another meme Any chance it's going to happen this year?
01.01.2022 As a treat to wrap up the term we invited Kevin to come kindy and entertain us with his special blend of sustainability education and wonder. Fantastic, as always - thanks Kevin
01.01.2022 Can't put it off any longer...
