22.01.2022 Always Was, Always Will Be NAIDOC Week 2020 recognises that First Nations people have occupied and cared for this continent for over 65,000 years. The 2020 National NAIDOC Poster, Shape of Land, was designed by Tyrown Waigana, a Noongar and Saibai Islander man.... Tyrown’s artwork tells the story of how the Rainbow Serpent came out of the Dreamtime to create this land. It is represented by the snake and it forms the shape of Australia, which symbolises how it created our lands. The colour from the Rainbow Serpent is reflected on to the figure to display our connection to the Rainbow Serpent, thus our connection to country. The overlapping colours on the outside is the Dreamtime. The figure inside the shape of Australia is a representation of Indigenous Australians showing that this country - since the dawn of time - Always Was, Always Will Be Aboriginal Land. #QCCS #NAIDOC2020 #NAIDOCWeek #NAIDOC

A lot of slime recipes have a number of ingredients in them that are not safe for young children...so we found one that is. Taste Safe Slime... 1/4 cup chia seeds 1, 3/4 cups water 3-4 cups corn starch food colouring 1. Mix the chia sees, water and food colouring together. 2. Cover and refrigerate overnight. 3. Uncover and add the corn starch a little at a time. Mix and the continue until you achieve the desired consistency. 4. Once made you can store in the refrigerator. You will need to add a little water each time you take it out to your it as it will reactivate the slime. At the centre we are single use. #FunWithSlime #TasteSafeSlime #SensoryExploration #QCCS
