How stunning is this capture by the amazingly talented @marthagracebirthphotography it highlights the essence & beauty of siblings at birth . there are many benefits to involving your children throughout your birthing journey & each one is uniquely important to every family. . one thing to consider, when involving your children, is how to best support them throughout the birthing process & their transition into siblinghood. . talking with them, they may understand more than you think, questions will always arise & if you don’t know the answer, seek it out & do the research together. There are many books on all levels that can help children understand birth, books are magic & I have many in my doula library!! Consider your birthing environment & ask your birthing team their policies & views on having your children present.. this may mean changing your birth path if your values don’t align. 18.01.2022 . . . pregnancy is a wonderful time of heightened awareness & intuition, when a mama’s dreams are at her most vivid & profound, above what she may have ever experienced before. Realistic & strange or even nightmares are not uncommon amongst excepting mama’s & often she will be able to recall & remember themes of her dreams more vividly. ... . it is common for pregnant mama’s sleep to be disrupted, as, often anxieties & worries are becoming more prevalent. Vivid dreams during pregnancy are completely normal & can actually act as a way of processes mama’s emotions & changing hormones. & actually some researcher theorise the link between higher levels of progesterone & the increase to more detailed, vivid dreams. . threaded within the dreams of pregnancy, may be opportunities to find & embrace the wonderful bond between mama & babe. Keeping a dream journal may help to reveal meanings or re-occurring themes & meditation will strengthen her intuition & may help her to understand what her dreams are telling her. . dreaming about animals, for example, can be more prominent during pregnancy. They can be related to our instinctual nature & often trying to remind us to trust in our instincts. More specifically, dreams of snakes can have either a negative or positive meanings; one of less than genuine predators or one of healing & transformation.
