20.01.2022 **Why I need the Spring Into Summer Challenge* I have pushed myself outside of my comfort zone more times than I can count in 2020. I am seeing my dream business come to life and it is so special ... I could not be more grateful to be living this life! I have to say though, this year has been A LOT. Fires. Floods. Pandemics. Home schooling. Working remotely. Distance from friends and family. Pivot after pivot after pivot. It is all a little exhausting, and I know, that my health, has dropped to the bottom of my "to-do-list". And the "to-do-list" isn't getting any shorter! Which is why I need this challenge! Even though it may seem a little counter intuitive to add, yet another thing to the list.. (I totally hear that btw) I am seeing this challenge as a opportunity to reset! I am still going to be busy, yes. BUT The difference will be is that I will be challenging myself, to prioritize "me". Challenging myself to find time to exercise, to take the time to nourish my body and eat well, to have a good think about what lights me up. AND I will have all of you, pushing me a long, being my cheer squad and holding me to account. Which is exactly what I need! I need that little bit of a nudge! When we were in lock down there was a lot of thinking time, mostly in the thinking chair (tune into my stories - I often chat from the thinking chair ) And what we came up with was 2 new time efficient - all-of-the-good-things reformer classes which we think you are going to loooovveee! And they fall under the "Belle Essentials" category. ... Essential Reformer - a 45 minute smooth moving technical class. Great for beginners or pilates enthusiasts looking to slow down a touch and focus on their technique. But remember - slower doesn't mean you won't feel like you are getting some of that pilates burn HIIT Reformer for those looking for a littel sweat. 45 minutes of High Intensity Intervals, utilising the reformer and other small props. 19.01.2022 Introducing one of the new classes to be added to the Belle Fam Belle Bridging is all about Bridging the gap between a beginner to confidence in entering any of our group classes! Bridging is a 3 class program that is with just you and one other person! ... This is to ensure we can give you loads of attention! We take you through the 3 class program at your pace. It may take you 1 week, it may take you 3 or 4. Doesn't matter! We just want to give you individual attention to help you feel strong and confident in our classes. During the program we will take you through all of the pilates basics. The reformer, the mat, small props. engaging particular muscle groups, breathing (yes, we will teach you to breathe seems obvious, isn't always) take you through all of the foundation exercises so that you feel 100% ready and confident to join us in any of our classes! It really is the absolute best best BEST place for you to begin if you've never ever done pilates before, or if you want to ease you way into the Belle Movement groove. On the 1st of November Kelly will start teaching yoga out of our refurbished old studio (the original space)!... And for us, we will move our Mat classes across to the revamped space which means a couple of extra reformer classes on the schedule. Both of our businesses will be sharing the playdate space! So pilates or yoga with onsite nannies (eeeekkk!!) All of the classes are live on MindBody right now! 18.01.2022 Have you tried a Fusion Class? I know I shouldn't have a fave child.... Sorry Class. I meant class ... BUT truth be told - it is might just be fave class to plan and teach. I just LOVE it! Pilates inspired, strength and conditioning And the "vibe"! Its all in, its chatty (I'm pretty sure we've solved all of the worlds major problems in theses classes ) its burny, its a bit sweaty and it's a bit fun SO. GOOD
16.01.2022 **REST** Hello Friends - been a little MIA on here of late. And I can confirm that it was NOT because I was resting!... Quite the opposite in fact. I hit the wall in a big way - mostly because in the last 6 months, rest is not a thing that I have done. AT. ALL. I could have leaned on my amazing team a little more. They would have supported me (which when I crashed and burned - they did!). I could have said no to a couple more classes - my clients would have understood (which when I crashed and burned - they did!). I could have taken the foot off the pedal for a hot minute - the biz will be ok (when I crashed and burned, I did). I wound up sick in about 3 different ways. My body literally gave up. And i knew it was going to! I was as flat ans flat can be. I couldn't sleep. I couldn't concentrate. I knew it was coming and I ignored it. So, a word form me to you - listen to your body. Don't ignore the signs that you are burning out. And take what rest you can when you can. No matter how small... On that note - I am taking a couple of days off! Up the coast I go for some surfing and some quite time! My team have got this covered, my clients are happy and Belle will survive for few days whilst I recharge the batteries! See more

16.01.2022 This post popped up in my feed today... I felt I needed to share it again! The last little while I've felt a little frustrated that my body just won't do what it used to. Being an athlete was so fun and so bloody satisfying. Sometimes as a parent and a business owner you can sometimes go for weeks with out a win and my competitive spirit doesn't always love that BUT in all honesty, thats not the bit I really miss. And this post reminded me of why I loved sport and why I f...elt such a big urge to start Belle and what I hope.tp share with my girls as they grow Its always nice to look back Read on #repost Flash back to what feels like another life, where my joy came from sport and all of the awesome things that I gained from it! I gained friends, family, health, fitness, happiness, amazing memories and a place to belong. Do I miss it? For so many reasons, I do miss this feeling. I miss the competition, the training, the satisfaction of completing an event and reaching a goal. But, for so many reasons I am grateful that it is behind me, and I can take the things I gained from sport and apply them to my life now. Those things I gained, are the things I hope to give to others with this little business... 15.01.2022 Monday will be 1 month in the new studio! When I saw the date, I nearly fell off my chair! In the space of 1 month we have opened, welcomed back a whole lot of familiar friends and met some amazing new ones! ... We've added some extra staff (I'll talk about them more later!) We've created some new classes. We've made some adjustments to our some of our old faves! So, with 1 month on the clock, just like.mynlittle.froends here grown out of shoes we've out grown the Winter Schedule! We will be going live with our Spring Schedule, from this Saturday - the 15th of August! 45 classes per week - the biggest schedule Belle has ever released I am so proud of my little team and I am so so happy to be able to offer our awesome clients something super special, right here in sunny Ettalong @ Belle Movement

I think I have used the phrase "next year" roughly 20 times this week Just like the 31st of December will tick past and we will just "magic" into a place that is a little less 2020-ish. ... Maybe that is what will happen Here is what I think - I think there might be some of us out there, who may be feeling a little flat... Perhaps a little run down... 13.01.2022 Ok ok, we've been a little quite over here! There has been so much to digest with opening the new studio, working out the schedule, bringing on new staff, meeting heaaapss of amazing new members. It has been great! But been A LOT ... So I had a big old switch off yesterday. No emails, no insta, no texting, no active wear (which for me is a treat ) but I really needed 24 hours where Belle didn't enter my brain space. It was nice to turn it all off and spend some time with my BFF, her fresh bubba and my big little girl (can you believe how grown up she is right now ) Back into it today! Feeling refreshed and ready to roll into the next few big weeks! See more
13.01.2022 Oh Mali... This baby was not one to ever sleep on me or even near me for that matter. Today she's not feeling the best and crashed in my arms for the first time in, "I-can't-remember-how-long". And then it dawned on me, that it might be the last time she sleeps on me like a baby.... Was pretty lovely to just sit and soak up the last bit of baby that she has

Tomorrow I am going to share one of my 10 minute, short and snappy, ab classes, that will be a part of the "Spring Into Summer Challenge" ... I challenge you - to find 10 minutes in your busy day to: 1) Complete the 10 minute class AND If you'd like to go in the draw to win a Belle Pilates Pack 2) Share in your stories when you have completed it and be sure to tag us in it! I know life is busy - I mean, I own a pilates studio and I very rarely get the chance to do pilates! BUT I know that it is because I don't prioritize my exercise... 09.01.2022 Before 8:00am we cover a lot of mental and physical ground! Wake up, feed hunans (sometimes you are included on that list of humans, sometimes not) pack up, drop off, tantrums 1,2 & 3, forgotten school photos (may or may not have been me this week ) get to work and begin.... It is no wonder we often feel a little overwhelmed. ... BUT the "things" that we do, that take the time, need doing right? So that is why we can't always prioritize our wellbeing. TOO.MANY.THINGS. We can't just say - ok 2 year old, or I am not going to pack your lunch today and walk yourself to preschool, thanks! We have to do the things, but what we need to try and do, is with in the "things" try to find a way to include our "things" with out adding waaayy more to the list, How? During the Spring Into Summer Challenge, we do a little exercise where we explore ways we can delegate, mitigate and eliminate some of the "things" that take our time. EG. As above... 2 year old can not take herself to preschool. It has to stay. BUT we can mitigate the lunch making task. Why not make yourself an amazing lunch to take with you for the day as well? Why not pack yourself a day's worth of healthy snacks? I know it seems rich, coming from me. "just pack yourself some healthy snacks", "Just give yourself 10 minutes to do your Pilates" I totally hear that! BUT it can be done! And that is what the Spring Into Summer Challenge is all about! (Well I think so anyways, but I am a tiny bit biased ) Essentials 50/50 This is 50% Reformer, 50% on the floor using small props (and, in a few weeks, some very exciting new toys!) ...
