25.01.2022 review for Carolyn Wheatley So helpful, easy to deal with and very friendly. We met Carolyn at the open house of a property we were interested in. From the very beginning and then throughout the entire process she was so easy to deal with. We'd never had anything to do with an auction before and were pretty intimidated by the thought of it but Carolyn's warm and friendly character as well as her great knowledge on the process (she didn't make me feel like any question I... had was silly) and the property made us feel at ease. We probably would have counted ourselves out of the race very early on if it wasn't for Carolyn. In the days leading up to the auction she was in touch with us to make sure we were ready and also helped calm our nerves on the day. 02.01.2022 TARYMS TIPS FOR INSPECTING RENTAL PROPERTIES Going to rental inspections can be exciting, exhausting and even a little daunting so weve put together some tips to help you be a little more prepared when spending your Saturday looking at rental properties. 1. BRING YOUR TAPE MEASURE ... Why would you bring a tape measure? Being able to be 100% sure your furniture/appliances will fit in your potential next home is crucial in making sure your move isnt going to include buying a new fridge. 2. WEAR SHOES THAT ARE EASY TO TAKE OFF/PUT BACK ON Sneakers might be super comfortable for standing in those open home lines all day, but it might be a little easier to slip in and out of a pair of thongs or slides when asked to remove your shoes at a property. Bonus tip: wear shoes that are easy to find in a shoe pile-up! 3. BRING YOUR QUESTIONS FOR THE AGENT There may be some questions you have before coming, such as is pool maintenance included in the rent? or, how do I put in my application? Even questions like will the owner consider pets? are important to ask so you know all the facts before submitting an application. 4. KNOW YOUR NON-NEGOTIABLES What cant you live without? It might be air conditioning, a dishwasher, an undercover area outside whatever it is, make sure if the property doesnt have these non-negotiables, you let the agent know youre no longer interested. 5. KNOW WHERE YOURE GOING AND GET THERE EARLY The Spring market has seen some big attendee numbers lately so its important to secure your parking spot nice and early or you might find yourself getting your steps up early in the day.
