25.01.2022 A very Merry Christmas to one and all. Stay safe and let’s all look forward to a fantastic New Year 2020 Love and best wishes Russell & Lisa Belle’s Bed and Breakfast

23.01.2022 Our new room at Belle’s. Available from Monday 1st June 2020. Deluxe King Suite with En-suite bathroom . Let us know what you think

20.01.2022 As the toilet paper crisis continues in Australia it was a sad state of affairs at Devonport Coles this morning but don’t despair future guests, we have you covered, I managed to buy the biggest pack left at our local IGA in Latrobe

20.01.2022 Had to say goodbye to some wonderful guests this morning who have been with us for 8 days. Left us with some lovely new mugs and a bottle of Bubbly. Sadly one of the lovely ladies staying had to leave earlier this week because her town was under bushfire threat on the East coast of Tasmania and one of the ladies that left this morning is returning to NSW where she won’t be able to return to her home because she can’t get through so she will have to stay in Sydney.

19.01.2022 Happy New Year 2020 to all our previous, current and future guests at Belle’s Bed & Breakfast Cheers Russell & Lisa

19.01.2022 Well it’s flat out here at Belle’s! Had one night off last week, first since 20th of December. Not complaining but we were exhausted so we booked out both rooms while we had the chance . This week has been fabulous. The last two couples that stayed here were just great so we put on a BBQ last night for them before they all had to go home. One of the couples, from Queensland, we are looking forward to seeing in the near future as they have bought a home in Latrobe and will be doing the same as we did moving to no family or friends but now they at least have us and we will be keeping in contact with them the others from NSW are very certain they will return and we will meet again and we really look forward to it. Sitting down for a few minutes now waiting for the next two couples to arrive

19.01.2022 So it’s our two year Anniversary of opening and going live on the booking site on this date! Time has flown by, so many wonderful memories and many new friendships

17.01.2022 Well we’ve had a real roller coaster of a few days at Belle’s. Sadly we had to bid fair well to our beautiful 18 year old fur baby Milo who we miss terribly Last night however and this morning we had the pleasure of meeting and spending many hours with an amazing lady and her lovely partner. Sally Howell is a very talented up and coming artist who does pencil drawings of adorable Australian wildlife. We took the opportunity to purchase enough of her prints to replace all the existing pictures we had through most of Belle’s! My photos do not do them justice and I can’t wait to get them up on the walls. Check out her Facebook site: Sally Howell Art -TaffyBlue

16.01.2022 Had the loveliest couple staying with us the past two days, Barb & Kev from St Helens on the East Coast. When they left this morning taking one of Russ’s drums with them it was like we had known them for years! Barb left us this adorable little poem in our guest book A gorgeous spot, menagerie too Polly and Puggle there to greet you Lisa and Russell so friendly and sweet... The loveliest people you ever could meet. See more

16.01.2022 Fabulous Christmas lunch today with our lovely guests from Italy and Japan was a very fun and interesting day

15.01.2022 Received this beautiful card in the post today from guests who stayed at the beginning of August. Thanks Angie and Oscar, we really do look forward to catching up with you again one day

14.01.2022 The new Mountain Bike Trails are open. Apparently they are pretty good. Only about 7kms from here . All set in the beautiful Warrawee Forest Reserve one of the best places in Tasmania to see Platypus in the wild

14.01.2022 Made at Belle’s by Russell Available to order in advance

11.01.2022 A new product available @ Belle’s to relax the guests after a day of site seeing, shopping or Platypus viewing at our local National Park More drums in the process of being made. Turn up the volume Cheers Russell & Lisa x

10.01.2022 Boxing Day dinner provided and cooked by our visiting Italian couple. Cibo delizioso!

07.01.2022 We’re still hanging in here at Belle’s. Hard times for everyone but every day is still beautiful and peaceful for us in Tassie

07.01.2022 Had a beautiful email yesterday from Taku and Shoko who stayed with us at Christmas. After Tassie they went to Melbourne for a while then home to Japan. They wanted to show us that the Wishing Well Russ made and gave them is on display with all their Aussie animals

05.01.2022 Tasmania is a beautiful holiday spot to visit all year round but in winter when the sky is blue and the snow has fallen in places like Cradle Mountain it is truly a magic place

04.01.2022 Merry Christmas to all our old and new guests

03.01.2022 Well who would have ‘thunk’ it. Apparently the ‘Ornamental Cherry Blossom Tree’ outside the guest bedroom windows is a Nectarine tree Hope we manage to harvest some

03.01.2022 Due to the continuing Corona Virus situation and the cancellation of all bookings at Belle’s through until end of May, we have decided to follow the lead of some small business cafes and restaurants and offer a takeaway package! Book with Belle’s and we will provide a Tent, warm and cosy onesie sleeping bag and a bacon butty to take anywhere you want

01.01.2022 We have had the most amazing week at Belle’s, spoilt with pressies and blessed with such wonderful guests Nithiya a beautiful (inside and out) very knowledgeable skin cancer nurse, over for business for 3 nights, left us with a Christmas present of Chocolates. But her heart was stolen by Puggle and the she bought him some Reindeer Antlers and a special ball toy. Tim and Louise, a young couple from WA that stayed a few weeks back for one night came back for another two before heading home and spoilt us last night with Chocolates from Anvers, Raspberry Jam and a couple of pieces of an incredible custard tart from the Berry Farm. Tim is an Aussie and Louise is from Belgium and they are truly beautiful people, we enjoyed meeting them very much and look forward to seeing them again next year
