17.01.2022 ONE NATION'S QLD EDUCATION REFORMS The education of our children has been hijacked by leftwing academics and politicians and used to as a tool promote their own warped political agenda. This is so wrong!... Our children need our help to learn practical skills and concepts and set themselves up for their working careers, and they can’t achieve that if the adults they rely on are feeding them rubbish from a flawed curriculum One Nation’s policy aims to rectify those massive shortfalls, give the kids a solid foundation of learning and understanding, and an ability to think for themselves; to help them become resourceful and independent, which is what parents want. We need to be teaching children how to think, not what to think. The QLD One Nation Education policy includes as key foundations: -Prioritise the development of comprehension, reading, writing, science, and mathematical skills -Ensure the learn-to-read programs are based on the explicit teaching of phonics -Demand entry requirements for teaching university degrees to be substantially increased to reflect the top 30% of the adult population -Abolish Queensland’s ‘Respectful Relationships’ program and instead introduce a basic sex education lesson that informs young adults of STDs and forms of protection -Reform Social Science and Cultural studies to ensure a balanced and evidence-based content when teaching -Increase funding of chaplaincy programs throughout schools to provide pastoral care for student well-being and community cohesion -Reintroduce competition in our classrooms and remove the ‘everyone’s a winner’ belief -Implement teacher salaries equal to their level of training and responsibility -Encourage a greater balance between men and women teachers Find out more: https://www.qldonenation.org.au/education

The NRL's Melbourne Storm and Canberra Raiders game kicked off at 6.50pm despite long lines remaining outside the stadium. With about 39,000 people expected to watch the preliminary final live, around 20,000 were locked out as the game was set to begin. Angry customers took to Ticketek's social media to share their disappointment with the company. "Wish we could access our tickets to get into the NRL final right now!!!!! Stuck outside the stadium with 100's of others not able to get our mobile tickets. Now going to miss kick off," one wrote. "Would just love to be able to watch the semis with the tickets I purchased, but no Ticketek site is down and nobody available to take calls," said another. "This situation has never occurred in 17 years of the Stadium's operation." "We are working with our ticketing agent to identify the cause of the issue and to put measures in place to ensure this situation does not occur again. "

You don't need to be a maths teacher to realise that this is not enough frontline health workers to cope with our region's massive population boom. Under this government, there has already been a 32% increase to our waiting lists - that's over 2,500 Ipswich locals who are waiting for surgery! All year we have been promised by the State Government that they are keeping Ipswich healthy and safe but these figures show that Ipswich will not get the care that it will need, going into the future. I have lived a life of struggles, so I know the frustrations, hardships and heartache families of all situations go through, each and everyday. I have empathy for others and care about others suffering. I want to be the solution to these problems, along with other One Nation candidates, who ...are also, you're everyday, families, who have put their hands up, to try and make a difference, who are trying to help YOU, get rid of the rot in our governments. I have been on welfare, been a single parent, lived in a housing commission house, been through the joys, heartache and pain of bringing up children and the issues they go through as teenagers. I also know, if you have the opportunity, anyone, can make a go of it, if you work hard. BUT, you can only work hard, if given the opportunity. That is what One Nation is about, bringing back the Blue Collar jobs in Industry and Manufacturing. Roll back legislation for our farmers and small businesses.
