07.01.2022 Introducing Dr Lauren Hammer Lauren completed her General Practice Training at Goondiwindi Medical Centre. She has lots of interests at work including emergency care, women’s health, adolescent health, paediatrics, mental health, skin, preventative care and geriatrics.... Outside of work she enjoys being a mum, spending time with family and friends, reading, baking, quilting, keeping active, and watching good movies or tv series. Lauren will be starting at Bellingen Healing Centre on Thursday 21st January 2021.

06.01.2022 To ensure a virus free environment and enable our doctors to continue their care during the Covid19 pandemic our reception staff are triaging all our patients. If you have any cold and flu like symptoms, have been in contact with a Covid19 case or visited a Covid19 hotspots recently you will be offered a phone appointment. Face to face appointment will only be available to patients who do not fit into any of the above categories. Patients are asked to wait in their car rat...her then the waiting room. Patients are encouraged to wear a mask (self-supplied is appreciated), sanitise and to comply with social distancing guidelines when coming into the surgery. We thank you for you understanding & encourage you to call 6655 00 00 for clarification. Covid Testing is available in Bellingen Monday to Friday at 38 Watson Street, Bellingen. 02.01.2022 Bellingen Healing Centre would like to welcome our new doctor to the practice, Dr Mark O’Meadhra. Mark will be starting with us in May. Mark began his medical career with a Bachelor of Health Science working for over a decade as an intensive care paramedic in Melbourne and Adelaide. Whilst performing emergency ambulance duties Dr Mark was awarded the Australian ‘National Medal’ for service to his fellow man. In 1999 Dr Mark became a clinical lecturer at Flinders University... and in 2006 completed a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. Whilst studying medicine Dr Mark received an Honour Society scholarship award for ‘Outstanding Academic Merit’ and 1st prize for a national medical paper on the ‘Deleterious Effects of Foundry Fumes on Children at Waldorf School’. In 2007 Mark was registered as a Doctor and commenced work in numerous hospital departments including; Emergency, Medicine, General Surgery, Paediatrics, Obstetrics, Geriatrics and Psychiatry. In 2012 Dr Mark became a General Practitioner and has since been successfully employed at a number of Victorian GP clinics, including over a decade of integrative natural medicine practise at ‘The Melbourne Therapy Centre’. From 2017-2019 Dr Mark travelled to Switzerland and Germany studying integrative medicine at the Filder Klinic and Arlesheim Hospital completing European EU accreditation as an ‘Anthroposophic physician’. Dr Mark has recently moved to NSW and intends to continue his practise of Integrative natural medicine at the Bellingen Healing Centre. See more
