23.01.2022 With Xmas day looming, I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support this year. Unfortunately there have been some serious health issues in the last month or two and now another hiccup with a marriage breakdown but we intend to come back fighting in 2020.... we know we have the best customers in SA and we hope to be able to serve you consistently in the coming year Your the best!

22.01.2022 Not a bad day to be alive and outdoors Good tunes and sunshine

21.01.2022 The amount of enquiries I get that go nowhere because of my "pricey" shoeing costs astounds me..... the biggest factor is limited time in the job. 45 is really 75 when your a farrier

19.01.2022 Attention Hay Growers and Croppers- Do you need to get your paddocks prepped and your running out of time? Need more hands than you have? We can help with contract driving to help you to get your pasture seeded or crops in while you continue with day to day farm operations..... Reasonable rates and established equipment maintenance protocols to look after your gear. Send a message to get us working for you today!

19.01.2022 Its a special level of trust

17.01.2022 Hope these bloody horses realise what I give up for them!.... Lee Kernaghan in Adelaide tonight

17.01.2022 Hi Everyone, apologies for the ghosting lately. There were some quite significant health issues to overcome. In an attempt to remain productive we have had to scale back the farrier service but will still be doing local jobs in limited amounts. We are also scaling up other services such as fencing, shearing and stock work. If you have lost fences in the recent bushfires we can work with your insurance and ensure you get a good deal. We are also doing last minute shearing to get in before the cold weather.... get in now to allow the animals to grow back enough fleece for winter Thankyou to you all for your support during this time

16.01.2022 Big day over on Yorkes Pen!! Finishing off with a Clydey!!!

16.01.2022 Not a post that I wanted to be making Due to some fairly serious health concerns and some recent life events, I am going to have to significantly reduce the number of clients I am seeing. This is not a decision I take lightly but at the end of the day my health and family come first. I will speak with you all directly in the coming days/weeks to sort things out in more detail. Thankyou to everyone for their support

16.01.2022 If you get them into horses young, they will never be able to afford drugs

15.01.2022 Bellingers Rural Contracting has MOVED! We are now official residents of the beautiful Harrogate area. We will be making a number of changes this year, including the start up of an onsite farrier/blacksmith workshop. This will allow customers to come to us for specialised shoeing and therapeutic farriery. In addition to this we can also assist with Labour Hire, Contract Stock Management, Fencing , Animal Husbandry and all other aspects of Rural Contracting.... Send us a PM and see how we can help you today.

14.01.2022 The Covid19 crisis has identified a huge knowledge shortfall between the generation that survived depression and world war and the current generation. Once pandemic restrictions ease we will look to close that shortfall by providing a subsistence garden service. We will be able to design, build and stock permaculture and polyculture gardens. Whats permaculture/polyculture? Stay tuned for informative videos and posts during the lockdown..... obviously this service will not commence until restrictions are lifted.... spare a thought for those keeping you safe during the crisis, not just first responders but the farmers and transport workers keeping you fed etc.....

14.01.2022 From a farrier colleague in the UK. Very applicable to here especially after seeing so many "barefoot trimmer" advertisements lately. I also have nothing against horses being barefoot.... if they can take it. Sorry about the language.... its a farrier thing https://www.facebook.com/100008250183178/posts/2678835339068113/?d=null&vh=i

13.01.2022 Coming to Barmera Tomorrow !Coming to Barmera Tomorrow !

12.01.2022 Its currently Deer Rutting season and the damage they do to farm infrastructure extends to the millions! Selective Invasive Pest Control is a speciality of ours. Baits and other non selective methods kill native species. If you want to get rid of the introduced species without harming the environment, give us a call. We deal with Foxes, Feral Cats, Goats, Pigs and Deer. Fully licensed and Insured.

11.01.2022 In early 2020, as part of our dedication to the rural sector in Australia we will be giving away a two week full service farm sit to allow one lucky family to get away from the farm and enjoy some much needed relaxation. We hope to do many more of these over the coming months so feel free to get behind us and tag anyone you think deserves a break from the drought and devastation. Also welcoming donations of holiday prizes for the winning family. Rural Australia gives us so much, its time to let them know they are supported..... #farmers #farmingaustralia #drought #leekernaghan #droughtangels #ringerswestern #nakedfarmer #australian #australia #farm #rurallife #outback #outbackcobber #jetstar #qantas #flightcentre #country #countrypeople #instagood #giveaway #australianoutback #toughtimes #beyondblue #cowboy #giveback #grantdenyer

11.01.2022 The difference! I knocked up this shoe quickly to illustrate the difference a little time, effort and money can make to your horse. The left side of this shoe has been modified ( equilibrium style ) to provide extra support through the toe and beveled all round. The right side is a standard production flat hack shoe. Notice the difference in coverage area and support through the heels. The left hand side is a therapeutic shoe for particular pathology but the ability to modify... shoes for a particular horse is the essential skill you get when you bring in a professional farrier..... and pay for him Please excuse the average weld.... its been a while since I had to pass basic braze welding See more

10.01.2022 I asked Cooper to do some round yard work today and got the mother of all stink eyes

09.01.2022 Happy Birthday to all the horses out there today! Including my "special" boys

08.01.2022 Been a nightmare week, apologies, we are writing this week off and will be up and running Monday.... hopefully with a new systemBeen a nightmare week, apologies, we are writing this week off and will be up and running Monday.... hopefully with a new system

07.01.2022 Jump on this opportunity if you can guys! I use Kim for my horses and will never change!

07.01.2022 Not just in the alpine areas, feral deer are in plague proportions in SA. We can offer selective, low impact culling of all invasive invertebrate pests. What does low impact mean? That you wouldnt know we had been there apart from having less pests..... and that you booked us

06.01.2022 Back to Barmera this weekend Back to Barmera this weekend

06.01.2022 Yep this sums it up

05.01.2022 Good morning all, we have secured a new trial system and are currently transferring all records if you get an email or txt message regarding an appointment please ignore for now

04.01.2022 Sometimes you need to take the high road

04.01.2022 As a farrier, by default I feel it is essential to have great horsemanship skills. I get asked all the time about problem horses and how to fix them and this is probably one of the best explanations I have seen on training principles......I like three main principles - make the right thing easy and the wrong thing hard...horses learn from the RELEASE of pressure.... and C.O.N.S.I.S.T.E.N.C.Y!!!!! https://youtu.be/Q5TNASEdi3c

02.01.2022 What do you do when the weather hits 35? Well you have a water fight with your horse of course!!!!! 02.01.2022 **ATTENTION LANDOWNERS** Are you aware of the recent legislation change regarding the feral status of deer in SA? Sections 181 and 182 of the Natural Resources Management Act state that a landowner must take all reasonable action to control/destroy animals of a particular class. Deer now falls into that class. Maximum penalty? $50,000!!!! Contact us now to get your action plan in place. This will cover you from prosecution while we work with you to control this pest. We can also help with all your other pest control - rabbits, foxes, goats

02.01.2022 Spent Saturday morning fixing big boy Curtiss fronts with some glue on flex shoes, made by sound horse. They came out quite well I think..... these are a great option for horses shy to nailing or with concussion problems. The ability to support the heel wall with extra adhesive is a great bonus....

02.01.2022 We love what we do, and helping horses is a big part of that! Its great to see this little palomino starting to come together. When we first started shoeing her there were some definite issues, hopefully these are behind her. #farrier #farriersofinstagram #cowboy #cowboys #horse #horsesofinstagram #horseowner #horseshoe #farms #farming #farmer #australian #australia #country #countrypeople #rurallife

01.01.2022 With the horse side of the business taking over lately its timely to let our clients know we are still rural contractors..... needs more hands? Not enough time?
