24.01.2022 When you hook a nice red and that tip loads up, that distinct bounce and the fish races off peeling a few metres of line then bounce bounce as your grid locked then gain some more line then a few more metres purrs from your reel and then you pump and wind your fish ever so much closer. A couple of mins later it appears up on its side, it goes for one last burst, takes a few metres line hearts in your mouth, fish disappears under the white suds, a few short strokes and winds a...nd its back on the surface. You have already anticipated a place to wash it up, watching the swell as always then the set arrives, red gets washed up riding the wave, Im sweeping the rod side ways like a bull fighter sweep and it lands at your feet., White water draining , grab that fish under the chin and yeeew a nice red. Never taking your eyes off the ocean swell. Eyes wide open happy days!!! Rock fishing sooo exhilarating!! See more

21.01.2022 I replaced two Angel Rings at Dee Why rocks. Unfortunately they go missing for the wrong reasons. But sometimes they just get hammered by the massive swells. If you notice the steel bracket has no Angel Ring free call- ANSA 1800 079 009. They will call a person like me local to the area to replace it. It could save your friend, your relative, a person that needs it or even you! Please share this. ... #ansa_nsw #angelringssavelives #anglerings

14.01.2022 A few nice kings, tailer and bonito on the Sydney rock platforms. Make sure you have a life jacket as it is mandatory in the vast majority of Sydney rocks. Steel spike boots or stretch on spikes, a rock fishing life jacket Hobie PFD 50+, a visible spray jacket and always give details of location to a Reliable Person, when your leaving home, when you will be there and when you will leave the rock location. Send that reliable person a map of the location you will be at as well.... Always check the swell conditions before venturing out for a rock fish. Always check the tides before venturing out for a rock fish. (Please note this is only very basic steps when you go rock fishing.) I can guide you how to do it in safety, and with success! 11.01.2022 The simple pleasures in life... luderick fishing. Wilson FC Shock Leader Flurocarbon 8lb. Mustard No-8 green sneck.Mustard SS Ceane 35kg swivel. #wilsonfishing #mustardhooks

11.01.2022 Fishing for Aussie Salmon off the beach is a great way to learn how to play out a fish that stripes line off your reel without running the risk of loosing it over sharp rock structures and having to have safety concerns about ocean rock fishing. There quite prolific at this time of the year. I made my own gang hooks from Mustard 4/0 7766D, Mustard T-Series SS Craine swivels 45kg between the hooks, 20lb Wilson fluro leader connecting to 20lb braid. For the rig Wilson fluro leader 45-60cm of 30lb, swivel, gang hooks and bead and sinker to suit conditions. #wilsonfishing #mustardhooks

10.01.2022 Traditional luderick fishing. On the ocean rocks I love to use this Alvey centerpin 475B. Whilst casting, fluently back spinning the luderick float out 10-12m and smoothly feeding out slack line only when necessary whilst in the white water stream. The float bobs slightly with a timid luderick taking the bait then the float goes down approximately three quarters of a metre. Taking up the additional slack line, only barely enough, then a firm strike, Im On! The luderick bounc...es, rod well bent over, increasing more and more rod loading up more then I start finger palming the reel and the luderick smoothly takes a run of several metres. I continue playing out the luderick on 7lb mono. A couple more short runs, fish wallowing. Eventually after a min or two it is up on the surface right in close, luderick laying side on 1/2 metre from the near vertical ledge The whole time looking at the swell. I already have planned where I am going to wash up the fish safely. Rod goes side ways left or right and with the momentum of a wave it is body surfed up on the ledge. Water drains back into the ocean and my fish is on the ledge near me. Cloth is pulled out from the side of my waist belt and still Continually looking at the ocean swells and still facing the waves I pick up the luderick just under the chin. Ohhh Yeah baby!! What a super experience! Alvey ruler taken out of the Alvey carry bag Measuring around 42cm. I have caught much larger luderick and the smaller fish are great as well. The experience I can offer you is far more than what I explained here. I guide all rock and beach species. Beginner-Intermediate-Advanced fishing trips to suit you! I have hand sanitiser and face mask for the clients that need one. I have Full Comprehensive Insurance for my client. Call me on 0408283626 or [email protected]. See more
