11.01.2022 Familes sometimes wish to build their own coffin. They do not always have the tools and the means to get this done so a flat pack would come in handy. Something they can build and decorate with ease. We came across Last expressions and ordered one of their flat packs. We decided to give it a try and see what it was like. Chuck said he would need help. As you can see, I was relegated to disposing of the biodegradable air cushions that stopped the bits banging together during delivery....mmmm These beautiful coffins are available for our families to build and decorate as they wish. The amazing wood burning was done by Last Expressions as an example of what can be ordered. I have always loved the tree of life. #bellingen #bellingenfunerals #funeral #lastexpressions #coffin

01.01.2022 CELEBRATION OF LIFE - RAJ Social distancing of 4 metres is still in place, EVEN THOUGH restrictions on numbers have lifted somewhat. With this in mind we need you to RSVP with name and phone number. This is required by the health department, just like going for coffee. Please message Barefoot Funerals on facebook with this information, and you will be given the address. This sunday 5th July 2020... At 2pm you are invited to say goodbye to Raj, he will be at his house where it is easy to take some time to speak your words to him. At 3.30 we celebrate with the community in a large paddock near the river. There will be a weaving of a flower mandala, followed by Raj's story, songs and poems. We all know that Raj wanted the 'big party' and this will go ahead when restrictions have lifted and family from New Zealand can join us.
