24.01.2022 Naidoc Week! For Naidoc Week, our children learnt a lot about the original inhabitants of Australia. The Kinders and Pre-Kinders went for a walk to explore our land that we live on and learnt about the different ways that the Aboriginals communicated, eg. via Dot painting, symbols and other art, they made their own natural art on leaves using Aboriginal colours with their own interpretation of the art.The children have also learnt about how to Acknowledge our Country as part ...of their Morning routine. They learnt that we Ackowledge and respect our land everytime we meet. This has become part of our morning routine before they start the Kinder Program. Meanwhile our cute toddlers learnt about the Aboriginal flag and made an activity where they decorated it with the Aboriginal Colours. At Bell Street we respect everybody, this is something that we teach our children, Respect for Self, Respect for Others and Respect for Land. See more

24.01.2022 Hello my lovely families, As the joyous season is upon us, we are starting a Bell St tradition, you may have noticed a Santa Letterbox in the foyer, if you have any Christmas cards or nice letters that you would like to give to our lovely staff or children, you can "post them" in the letter box and one of our lovely children wil become the post person for the day and hand deliver the letters and cards to the corresponding people We are currently teaching our children abou...t letters etc from around the world as part of our literacy program. We will be reading the book Jolly Postman and show different types of stamps etc from around the world. If you have any stamps or postcards from families and friends overseas tht you would like the children to show please bring them in and we can do a show and tell. This tradition will continue throughout the year and we will place Santas face with something else so you can continue to send us nice letters and notes. See more

Vacation care will be open to primary school aged siblings under 13, as a small way to help our educators and our families, allowing you to work, look for work and manage your lives. Fees will be set at only $80 for a 10-hour session, with no late fees if 30 minutes early or late on drop off or pickup.... Limited places available, to register please contact your Service Manager.

19.01.2022 Dear Families, Next week is Book Week! Yayyy! To celebrate we will be having dress ups the whole week! Join us in dressing up your children every day of the week so no child misses out :) All our Educators will be dressing up as well as myself as book week is combining my love of books and dressing up!!! YAYYY :) ...This Years Theme is Find Your Treasure! ;) Looking forward to seeing all the wonderful dress ups!!!

19.01.2022 What a beautiful surprise from my wonderful staff! Walked into office to this gorgeous bouquet and card. It is sooo lovely being appreciated. I did not even notice, as soon as I walked into office my first thing was checking emails to make sure we are up to date. It was not until one of my girls said "Can you please turn around" That I noticed. I began to get emotional after reading the messages. Thank you for making me feel welcome and I am sooo happy to know that you all feel happy, motivated, supported and mentored. I love you all!

18.01.2022 It is the Festive Season! The children are having lots of fun making and writing cards and letters for their family and friends! Miss Nell was chosen to be the special postie to deliver all the mail today... Dont forget dear families, we invite you to also write little notes and cards for other families and our teachers to show how much you appreciate us. 17.01.2022 Today the children had a lovely surprise from Miss Nikki from Happy Feet. We obtained a free dancing and movement trial where the children could enjoy some dancing and learnt about being healthy through healthy eating and exercise. Thank you Miss Nikki for an awesome Time!

17.01.2022 It was Pyjama Day at Bell St today! It was sooo nice seeing all our kiddies and staff wearing their favourite pyjamas. We welcome two new children Ehzra and Trinity who orientated today and will officially start tomorrow. They are pictured with mum who has awesome red hair please dont hesitate to say Hi. We also thank our awesome parent helpers Mr John and Mr Jai for helping put together the new teacher chairs! For those who missed out today, dont worry! We will organise another PJ day soon! 16.01.2022 Its lunchbox week at Bell St! We had heaps of fun teaching children how to make sandwiches to put in lunchboxes for school readiness! We spoke about healthy eating and what we can put in our lunchboxes. Miss Zoe even said that we cannot have peanut butter (one of the children said peanut butter as a filling) at our school because some children have allergies and can get very sick if they eat it. We then spoke about all the different allergies tht people can get and how we can help our friends stay safe by making sure they dont eat the food they are allergic to or touch it. Well Done Kinders! Thank you for making sure we keep everyone safe at Bell St!

12.01.2022 First our Nurse came to visit, now the Dentist! Its all about Health at Bell St at the moment haha. Some children loved Ms Isobel the Dentist, others needed reassurance and a familiar face (which I was happy to do, naturally ). Overall, it was a wonderful experience, children were given little mirrors and toothbrushes as Souvenirs.

12.01.2022 Happy Diwali and Lantern Festival! Today we had a fusion of cultures as we celebrated two Festivals of lights, one from India and other from Vietnam. We began with Miss Namita putting Henna stickers on us and the children. Then everyone dressed in traditional clothing. We had fried rice for lunch and the Kinders were taught to eat their lunch with chopsticks and Asian spoons. The Asian cutlery will become part of their lunch routine where they are given the option to choose... which cutlery to use. The children then learnt about Vietnamese Cultural Costume and were also given the chance to dress up and take photos in the traditional clothing. The Kinders learnt all about Lion and Dragon dancing and were able to make their own Dragon/Lion mask or puppets. Lastly as the Lantern festival is a Childrens festival, traditionally, each child in Vietnam is given a lantern and a bag/box of goodies to take home. It was a fun day of cultural celebrations!!! Help us by registering your child to read books and enhance their reading skills and in turn, you could also help us win 100 books for our service!!!! At Bell Street, we value literacy and books, our Educators share their love of books to our children every chance we get :) lets get behind our Educators and share the love of reading all around!

08.01.2022 We had such a lovely tme at our children and family End of Year/Christmas party, it was a relaxing evening even though it was very hot and muggy. We hired Rebecca from Snowqueen facepaint to paint our childrens faces and one of our awesome Grandparents was Santa, the children loved him as they said hi and they all received a gft. All the families brought food and shared it with everyone while the children enjoyed playing on the playground. What a fantastic night it was. Thank you everyone who came

05.01.2022 Last week was the last week for one our families who have been at Bell St for a long time. They moved to a sister centre but still, it is the end of an era! Alice and Freddie have been pleasures to teach and love but the reciprocation from such a beautiful family is one that we will always remember! Thank you for appreciating us, all your wonderful support, gft basket and most of all, your kind words. We love you guys and Miss you already!

04.01.2022 Nurse Stacey Comes to Visit! Today we had a spontaneous visit from one of our parents who works as a Nurse. Nurse Stacey came for a talk with the children about health and what nursing is. The children learnt about what stethoscopes were used for, what nurses do and best of all she brought in lots of items for them to pretend bandage and "nurse" each other to health ;) Thank you Nurse Stacey for coming in today, even though you were meant to come in NEXT Thursday and no-one knew you were coming, the children loved you! Spontaneous Experience Indeed! Haha

01.01.2022 Hello lovely families!! Just to let you all know that we have partnered with Diabetes Association and we now have a clothing bin for preloved clothing, shoes and small items (as in your childrens clothes and shoes that do not fit anymore ) . This wonderful association helps research a cure for Diabetes along with helping people in need. Please feel free to fill it, please ensure that items are usable, wearable and not broken out of respect. I would also like to say Thank you for all your support, it is lovely to hear what a good job we are doing and how much you appreciate us . Your support in working together to help us ensure your child/ren be the best they can be is truly appreciated! We love you all!!!
