While I have been feeling great, and not very emotional this time around I have been taking things slowly and giving myself time to recover. I know how important mental health is, and I have prioritized self-care. It’s not just making sure the baby is doing well, it’s also making sure I am doing well. I have learned to not only gi...ve myself grace with each pregnancy but also allow my body to properly heal after having a baby and not compare my journey to anyone else’s. As hard as it is for us to understand and love our bodies sometimes, I remind myself that it took NINE months for my body to grow a healthy baby in my tummy and it’s not healthy, to expect my body to recover shortly after having a baby. I am able to fit into my pre-pregnancy jeans but I do not feel good in them, and that’s OK. My body worked so hard over the last nine months to grow a baby and I am so proud of it. After each pregnancy, I promised myself that I would give my body the same time to recover. My postpartum may be different than yours, but our priority of self-care should be the same. #thisispostpartum P.S. The leggings I am wearing here have been a lifesaver after each pregnancy.
