The Civilised Sultan is a theatre production performed by local artists on the Sunshine Coast. The story tells of an account of humanitys history and all the magic and mystery that was uncovered when a lamp was finally discovered in the ancient Middle East. Filled with an assortment of oriental and fusion bellydance, live music, LED acts, sword ba...lancing and feature acts from Adel Amin, Bellas Bellydance, Melha Bellydance, Janna Bellydancer, Divine Sparks, Bellydance Sunshine Coast, Angela Aura and more, this theatrical production is a chance to be swept into the realms of fantasy as we relive our past, and set intentions for our future. About Thais: Thais Carvalho is a Brazilian Fusion Dancer based in Australia, a performer from Imani Tribe Brazil, and Dance instructor in Brisbane. Originally sung by Maya Yazbek in 1984, Habibi Ya Ayni is easily one of the most popular choices of arabic pop songs for bellydancers around the world. With its upbeat tune and catchy lyrics, there are so many remakes and remixes that you are sure to find a version of the song that you love. And, with a few arabic nuances and Janna flavour here and there, this workshop will transform this iconic song into a fun and interactive experience between dancer and audience!
