24.01.2022 Raqsing and Relaxing last weekend! Baladi is not a style I dance often but it was so lovely to improvise to this classic. Is it perfect? Nope! Was it fun? Absolutely! More video coming soon enshallah Thanks again to @hathordancestudio and Annette for organising! #raqssharqi #baladi #baladiyawad #egyptiandance #randr #sundayfunday #sydneybellydancer #kameliabd #improvisation

23.01.2022 Thank you for tuning in cool cats and kittens! The tutorial on contouring is still available on my Instagram until about this time tomorrow in my story. These tips apply mostly to performance makeup, stage or photography. To recap: ... - Contour only as needed to create the illusion of cheekbones, a smaller forehead, slimmer nose, curled bottom lip or a defined jawline. Very powerful but be careful. If you already have prominant features it's not necessary and a great blend is key! - You can contour more heavily for stage. Close up, do it very lightly because it should never look obvious or like you've rubbed a mars bar down your face or across your jaw. - Use concealer 2-3 shades lighter than your natural skintone under the eyes and up towards the temple and between the brows to create your personal "spotlight" - To create shadow, use matte shades only with a grey undertone 3-4 shades darker than your skintone. - Don't use bronzer! - To make your contour pop, bring light to your cheekbones, bridge of the nose, high arch under the brow and cupids bow with a highlighter in your skintone to add some sparkle. It will also reflect light giving the illusion of a lift! - Cheekbone contour: Running under the natural cheekbone from corner of the mouth to temple, create a wedge shape with the wedge point towards the mouth. It doesn't have to extend all the way to the mouth! - Remember: dark colours and shadow make features recede... light colors and sparkle bring features forward. I would love to see you try some of these techniques! Send me your photos! If you have any questions let me know by posting below or via PM. I'm available for private lessons via zoom too if you require it! I'm looking forward to preparing something new for you next Monday #makeupmonday #mondaymadness #manicmonday #contouring #stagemakeup #thanksforthelove #seeyouagain #bellydancelife #sydneybellydancer #kameliabd #bellydancersofaustralia #practicemakesperfect

17.01.2022 A special thank you to all my clients this year! I'm forever grateful for the chance you take on me to help create memories and add some magic to your special occasions. I have enjoyed serving every single one of you and can't wait to see what next year brings! #bestjobever This shot perfectly captures how I feel on the last day of 2019, looking ahead to a whole new decade! Focusing on gratitude for some of the wonderful things I was gifted in 2019 like stability, a wonde...rful new job, some amazing new friends, my health and that of my children's. While there is room for improvement in the new year (and there always should be!) today I am just grateful for where I'm at. Here's to a bright and healthy 2020 full of joy, new lessons learned and the growth that comes with that! God bless you all and #happynewyear #bellydancelife #thankful #sydneybellydancer #NYE #onwardsandupwards #gratitude #flyinghigh #kameliabd #bookabellydancer #sydneyentertainment

17.01.2022 Thanks to everyone that stuck with me for a very long eye tutorial! Even after Instagram kicked me off and I had to reconnect. I hope I have you enough info to help you in your own practice :) Remember: - Dark colours recede creatures and contour the face, light colours enhance and bring features forward in contrast. - Eyeshadows with sparkle pick up light, so if you suffer from fine lines, wrinkles or puffiness these will enhance it... So stick to mattes ... - Brows frame the face! Invest in them! A straighter brow is more youthful so don't direct the tail downwards but rather, out towards the temple. - The eye shape we aim for is an almond! Reduce roundness on the eye to give the illusion of elongating it towards the temple. Opt to make the bottom of the eye straighter... - Avoid powders under the eye as it can enhance fine lines and wrinkles close up. On stage it won't matter so much. - Don't attach your lashes right to the end of the eye as it can drag it down rather than outwards. - If you have any under eye droopiness don't put too much mascara on the bottom lashes as it can drag down the eye. If you want to, keep it just towards the ends. Questions are welcome :) #makeuptips #glamorous #thatsallfolks #thanksforwatching #questionswelcome #bellydancelife #kameliabd #phew

04.01.2022 Here it is ladies... Makeup Monday! 6pm AEST tonight via my Instagram account @sydneybellydance I love how supportive dancers in Oz are of the makeup that I do! Despite not considering myself a professional makeup artist, I've spent hours fiddling with different products and techniques, particularly in creating longlasting stage makeup that looks amazing without filters and can withstand a hot Australian Summer! I'm really hoping that I get to share some of that acquired exp...erience with you. Let's face it, there's no better time to fiddle with makeup than now! This week, many of you have expressed interest in how to approach aging, hooded or droopy eyes, so that's my focus for this evening plus any other questions that you have for me. Really, these ideas will benefit almost anyone to create a larger, younger looking eye. I want to reach as many of your as possible so if Instagram doesn't work let me know. There's the possibility of even moving regular online tutorials or classes to Zoom. Thanks for supporting my first live ever! #makeupmonday #glam #instalive #tipsandtricks #stagemakeup #sydneybellydancer #bellydancersofinstargram #bellydancersofaustralia #lockdown2020 #lockdownlife
