23.01.2022 Throwback Thursday - To our project with the City of Sydney on the upgrade and refurbishment of the Sydney Town Hall. The project combined structural innovation and major services installations all within the confines of one of Sydneys most recognizable and famous buildings. The significant aspect of this project was a 5.5-metre deep excavation under Town Hall requiring exceptional technical attention, along with a major roof refurbishment. The won the 2010 NSW MBA Construct...ion Excellence Award: Restoration of a Heritage Building $30m & over and the 2010 National MBA Construction Excellence Award: Best Public Building $10m to $50m. The project involves the refurbishment of the existing club, along with a new three-level club extension constructed on the site of a demolished adjoining building. Above the three new club levels a five-storey, 124-room hotel plus rooftop terrace will be constructed, complete with five levels of basement parking beneath.... 08.01.2022 Belmadar is delighted to have been selected by Cumberland City Council as the contractor for the Granville Park Grandstand Project. The new state-of-the-art community sports pavilion building and grandstand will become home to the first grade Two Blues Rugby Union team. The stand will have ample elevated seating for 750 spectators with a structural timber frame. The new building will include change rooms, multipurpose room, office, amenities, function room, canteen, kitchen..., and a covered viewing deck. There will be a renewal of the car parking area to accommodate 127 at-grade spaces, including associated lighting and an addition of an underground filtration with incoming services. The baths are the oldest remaining example of a fully enclosed tidal pool in Sydney Harbour, and this significant project will see its central pavilion and boardwalk raised 1.25 metres to accommodate rising sea levels.
