25.01.2022 Morningside will be closed tonight from 5pm and tomorrow night from 5pm due to a Doctor shortage - theyre all on holidays!!!
25.01.2022 I can happily report our emails are fully back up and running. Thank you all for your patience.
24.01.2022 Hello to our patients! Some of you may have heard about another online booking provider which has been found passing patient details onto third parties. We would like to confirm we use Hot Doc Online for our bookings. We take great pride in ensuring our patients privacy is second-to-none and if you click the link below, it will rest your mind and any potential questions you may have regarding the use of your personal information.
24.01.2022 Happy Friday to all of our patients! We hope you all enjoy this upcoming long weekend, if you are lucky enough to not be working it, that is. On that note, we do apologise but Morningside will be closed this Sunday. For all emergencies, please dial 000, for urgent but not life-threatening issues, please visit your nearest hospital Emergency room and for non-urgent, routine queries, phone 13 SICK (13 74 25). Also, our Hot Docs application is up and running again!! If you find yours is not working, please try logging out of the app and logging back on. We have been told this should sort out the connectivity issue. Thank you all for your understanding during the software installation and upgrade. Everything is completed now so apart from us getting used to the new system, it is all working wonderfully!
23.01.2022 Good morning to our patients! For the past week, we have been experiencing a huge increase in call volume across our clinics and due to this, there are long wait times and some patients have commented they cant even be put on hold - they are just simply cut off. Please be patient with us, as our receptionists are trying their absolute best to get to you.... If your call is COVID-19 related, you can also try phoning the government hotline on: 1800 020 080. We like to thank those of our patients who are self-isolating and not presenting to our clinics when showing cold/flu like symptoms. Please be reminded we are happy to do phone consultations for those who are unwell. We are still seeing patients who are without cold/flu symptoms and who have no history of travel or COVID-19 contact, for regular things such as: scripts, referrals, test results and childhood immunisations. Thank you for your continued patience in an unseen situation for our current times.
22.01.2022 Our latest newsletter has a feature on our very own Dr. Jayanthi Ravi!
22.01.2022 Dear Patients, we would like to thank you all for your continued patience and respect for our staff during a very ongoing, difficult time in all of our lives. Our Medical Receptionists in particular have seen their workload increase drastically since February of this year. We are averaging approximately 600 calls per day, across our two clinics. Our phone system is struggling to cope with the demand and we do apologise for any delay you may experience whilst on hold, waitin...g to be connected to a receptionist. Our staff are doing their absolute best and will get to you as soon as they can. Just a reminder that if you want to make a standard booking, you can still do this online through Hot Docs (see the blue Book Now button under our cover photo which takes you directly to it). Please answer the COVID-19 screening questions honestly so we can continue to protect our vulnerable patients and staff. COVID-19 is a scenario that not many of us have seen before and the job of the Medical Receptionist is changing on an almost-daily basis at the moment. The receptionists are having to keep up-to-date on daily changes to: General queries, COVID-testing locations, Medicare item number changes, any new Government restrictions, Government Hot Spot information, new clinic policies and procedures and also infection control information. All of this has been piled on top of their routine daily tasks. We are very grateful to have had our loyal staff stand with us during this very difficult time. We couldn't be getting through this without them and we are so proud of each and every one.

21.01.2022 Dear Patients, We have had a number of queries recently regarding the Coronavirus. Being a medical centre, we have protocols in place to assist in the treatment of potential cases of transmittable diseases.... Do not attend this medical centre unannounced if you are showing symptoms of the Coronavirus or have been or think you have been, in contact with a person who has travelled in the affected regions. These regions are no longer specific to China. Please phone our clinic on: 3399 4685 if you would like to book an appointment to have your symptoms checked and advise the receptionist you think you may have Coronavirus. The main symptoms of the Coronavirus are: 1. Current fever or past fever over 38 degrees celcius 2. Cough 3. Sore throat 4. Shortness of breath You may experience one or all of the above symptoms. We ask once you arrive to your appointment that you remain in your car and call the clinic on: 3399 4685 for further instruction. Please understand this is for precaution and not panic. We are not only protecting ourselves but the patients in our waiting room and also the general public. For the latest and most up-to-date information on Coronavirus, please see the links below for the Australian Government Department of Health and the World Health Organisation websites. https://www.health.gov.au/healt/novel-coronavirus-2019-ncov https://www.who.int/emerge/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019 We thank you for your cooperation in this.
20.01.2022 Well, Christmas has come and gone again for another year. We hope you all enjoyed yourselves. Please find below our opening times for next week, over the New Year period: Monday 31/12 - 7.30am - 12.30pm Tuesday 01/1 - CLOSED Wednesday 02/1 - Resume normal hours of 7.30am - 5.00pm
19.01.2022 Good morning to our patients! We have temporarily disabled online bookings for our clinic/s. This is due to a need to attempt at protecting our patients and staff from COVID-19 (aka Corona virus). Please understand we do this as we have some immunocompromised patients, newborns and elderly patients and we have a duty of care for them, including our staff who need to remain fit and healthy in order to care for the general population.... If you have any questions, please call us on: 3399 4685 or if you think you have been in contact with anyone who has recently travelled, or if you have travelled yourself and you think you may have been exposed to COVID-19, please call 13 HEALTH or the Australian Government Department of Health on: 1800 020 080. Thank you for understanding.
19.01.2022 Hi everyone, just a friendly reminder to book appointments for scripts and referrals as our doctors do have a legal obligation to give you a check up to see if the medication still suits your needs, or discuss your options for specialists, radiology and pathology labs when doing referrals. Requesting these through our email system will most likely cause you delay and we cannot guarantee to get you what you need without an appointment, anyway. If you have any questions regarding our appointment system at all, please dont hesitate to post them here, or call us on: 3399 4685. Alternatively, you can email general queries to: [email protected]

15.01.2022 Dear Patients, you may have noticed the fact you cannot book online at the moment. We do apologise for this; however we can let you in on a little secret - we are in the middle of going to a completely new appointment booking system. We were hoping to have the online bookings magically turn over, over the course of the weekend but alas, that would be far too easy. If you could please maintain your patience with us as we try to answer the hundreds of calls we are experiencing (that is not an exaggeration), HotDocs should be up and running in the next day or three and well post it here as soon as the problem is solved. Thank you all again.
14.01.2022 Thank you so much to our wonderful neighbours, Goodstart Early Learning at Belmont. The books are always enjoyed by the children who come in.
14.01.2022 Good morning to our patients! We have some wonderful news which we would like to share with you this morning. You will all be long aware of the carpet running through our clinic, well; we are proud to announce that over this coming weekend, the carpet in the waiting room and the long halls will be replaced with vinyl wood - the same colour and type as used for the Morningside clinic!... The decision was made to keep the carpet in the administration and consulting rooms. This is due to the fact we have high ceilings and the carpet will continue to act as a sound/privacy buffer between rooms. I will post after photos on Monday, so watch this space!!
13.01.2022 Morningside welcomes a new female GP to their clinic on the 1st August!

10.01.2022 And so, Ladies and Gentlemen, here are the long-awaited after photos of our new flooring. The opinion heard around the waiting room and halls today is a resounding fantastic! We do agree. What do you all think?
10.01.2022 Ironically with the continued loss of our emails, I have been able to update our Facebook page and the G.P. photos! Thank you to all for your continued patience with regards to our emails being down.
10.01.2022 Our sister clinic, Morningside, has now re-opened on Tuesday nights and also Sundays!
09.01.2022 Are you in the healthy weight range?
08.01.2022 Just an update and another apology to our patients. We are so sorry about the ongoing issues with our computers and phones. Please be assured we have the best of the best looking into the problem and we have our fingers (and toes) crossed that it will be sorted by the end of today. Hopefully tomorrow morning things should be all back to normal. Once again, thank you again for your continued patience and understanding.
08.01.2022 Good morning to our patients! The following is an interest-based story for you all: Two of our Directors Dr. Colin Kratzing and Dr. Allan Phillips are supporting one of our clients in a very ambitious and creative project. Brad Diebert is Director of the BIG Movie Company, which is currently in production of a movie based on the story of the Myall Creek Massacre, a part of Australian history that has been too painful to openly discuss, up until now.... The film shows great creative promise and brings to light the talents of up and coming young actors and includes some well-known Australian actors. Dr. Kratzing and Dr. Phillips also make an appearance. Myall Creek is set for release in 2019

These international regions are no longer specific to China and include but are not limited to: Italy, Republic of Korea, Japan, France, Iran and Germany. COVID-19 is also in Australia, with the most recent local case to Brisbane coming from Fridays nightclub in Brisbane City over the weekend. Please phone our clinic on: 3399 4685 if you would like to speak to a receptionist and advise them of your symptoms. We are currently conducting teleconsults (phone consultations) with a G.P. for a small fee and may consider bulk billing this in the near future. If the doctor decides you need to be tested for COVID-19, we will send you to your local pathology testing laboratory however your doctor will discuss this during your phone consultation. The main symptoms of COVID-19 remain: 1. Current fever or past fever over 38 degrees celcius 2. Cough 3. Sore throat 4. Shortness of breath You may experience one or all of the above symptoms. 05.01.2022 A big Congratulations to all staff at our wonderful clinic, for achieving accreditation through RACGPs new 5th Edition Standards! Please see our website at www.bgpc.net.au for the Media Release to see what this means for you.
04.01.2022 Good evening to our patients! While most of you are probably not even thinking about your local, friendly Doctors office on a Saturday night, perhaps there is a slight chance some of you may. So, rather than disappoint our most loyal of patients, here are some progress photos of the installation of the new floors! From lunchtime, the boys were hard at work, removing the old carpet and grinding the underneath down before preparing it all and leaving it to dry. Tomorrow is ...another big day with the actual flooring being put down. More photos will follow either tomorrow night or more likely, Monday morning. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
03.01.2022 Hello to all of our patients! Just a short message to ask you to please remain patient with our call volumes and answering times. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, we are finding a lot of patients are needing to be tested at the moment, as per the current government guidelines and our receptionists are trying their best to attend to every caller as quickly as possible. Please remember you can book any appointments online through our Hot Docs booking system (see the Boo...k Now button under our cover photo for a quick link) but if you have a cold, cough or flu-like symptoms, you will need to book a phone or video consultation. Alternatively you can still phone us directly on: 3399 4685 if you would prefer to speak to a receptionist. Thank you for your ongoing patience and understanding.
02.01.2022 Morningside will be closed tonight
01.01.2022 Hello to our patients! Please read below for another COVID-19 Practice Update: As per Queensland Health guidelines, we now request patients to wear a mask when attending the clinic in person. If you do not have a mask, a similar face covering such as a scarf will suffice. Children under the age of 12 are exempt from this. We do remind patients to not present to the clinic directly if you have any cold, cough or flu-like symptoms. Please phone us on: 3399 4685 to arrange a... phone or video consultation, or book online through our Hot Doc booking system and select the Telehealth option. For all information regarding the testing process, please read the update from yesterday and there you will find links to the relevant sites. And lastly, we would also like to thank you all. Our recent, sharp increase in phone consultations shows us that a lot of you are doing the right thing in getting tested and helping to protect our vulnerable communities. We will keep updating as soon as any changes of information occur, or any new information comes to hand.
01.01.2022 Dear patients, if you have been sending emails the past few days, we sincerely apologise but our email system is currently down. We advise you to call for everything until we post here emails are back up and running. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
