Ephesians 4:29, NIV: "Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen." ... Before you open your mouth again, learn: The words you need to hear from others. The words your loved ones need from you. The words you're most likely to use as weapons. The words that will wound your loved ones. The I Said This, You Heard That series of resources will change every conflict and conversation you havefor good.

20.01.2022 Do you think it's at all possible for our church gatherings to look anything like the one in the photo in this post? Wouldn't it be fantastic? Children and young adults, babies and families, singing and dancing in the aisles? Ok, that last idea might be a step too far for some of us, but I am convinced we can turn our parish around with the help and guidance of God through the power of Holy Spirit and by faith in the drawing power of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Seem too m...uch? The photo above is actually of a service at St Benedict's in Halifax, Nova Scotia and the priest in the middle is Fr James Mallon, author of Divine Renovation. Prior to undertaking the Divine Renovation process, the image above was but a dream for Fr Mallon and his people as well. If you, like me, dream of a parish where it's impossible for people to not encounter Jesus, then I encourage you to come along this Saturday to our Divine Renovation information day. Even if you're not feeling very interested in finding out anything, come along. I promise you, at the end of the day you will have renewed your hope for the future of our church.

20.01.2022 This morning we said farewell to our much beloved Beryl Wafer, 93, wife of Eric, 97 (and still with us - but so saddened at the loss of the love of his life). She was a wonderful, wonderful person, truly one of the best of us. Rest in Peace Beryl, may light perpetual shine upon you, and may you rise again in Glory. We played this version of Make me a Channel during the service: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IrdQYI3C1rQ

04.01.2022 There are many ways that we can change the world for the better, and taking care of ourselves and of our needs is one of them. Just by growing our own salads or... herbs, or by harvesting apples from a nearby tree, we are reducing our reliance on chemical agriculture and on the industrial food system in general. One lettuce picked from your garden means that a different lettuce, raised in a monoculture with fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides, irrigation, desiccants, huge farm machinery, plastic packaging, transport, refrigeration and supermarket distribution centres didn't have to be purchased. And your lettuce will taste better, too Share below if you're out in the garden this week and loving it. #permacultureillustrator #gardeningismytherapy #homegrownveggies

02.01.2022 Today is the feast day of Elizabeth of Hungary - an amazing example of the use of power and privilege to hope the poor and under-privileged. Although, as a royal princess she had the right to live in luxury, she chose to live a simple life and to devote her life to the service of the poor. https://www.catholic.org/saints/saint.php?saint_id=45
